Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin è davvero molto simile al suo predecessore sotto parecchi punti di vista, ma Capcom ha migliorato tantissimo praticamente ogni aspetto del gioco per renderlo più accessibile, longevo e divertente. È un JRPG fortemente strategico che riesce a essere impegnativo senza diventare mai frustrante, caratterizzato da un'attenzione per il dettaglio straordinaria e un fanservice maniacale. Peccato per qualche incertezza nel ritmo della narrativa, ma soprattutto per i limiti tecnici che costringono la versione Nintendo Switch a infelici compromessi. In definitiva, lo consigliamo di cuore non solo ai fan di Monster Hunter, ma anche a tutti quelli che amano i giochi di ruolo nipponici a turni.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin deserves to find a sizable audience. It's full of charm and boasts depth that can immerse the committed or be dabbled with by those eager to simply experience the story. As a blend of Monster Hunter with a traditional RPG approach it's an accomplished effort, and offers the sort of meaty experience that'll keep most players busy for weeks. Switch owners will need to tolerate some disappointing performance, unfortunately, but the overall experience shines nonetheless. It's a game of bright colours and wholehearted optimism, which is very welcome indeed.

Oui, Monster Hunter Stories 2 a toutes les cartes en main pour être le J-RPG de ce début d'été. Grâce à son système de combat original et riche, son contenu généreux et ses graphismes charmants, le titre propose une expérience agréable qui a de quoi vous occuper pendant une partie de vos vacances. Face à cette proposition intéressante, on peut lui reprocher son scénario très, voire trop classique, ainsi que sa technique qui ne parvient pas toujours à offrir un rendu stable. En soi, pas de quoi gâcher cette invitation au voyage qui brille par l'originalité de ses affrontements et la bonne humeur qu'elle dégage.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin non varia molto dal suo predecessore e sceglie la proverbiale squadra che vince, se non per un’estetica meno caricaturale ed una narrazione che prova a prendersi un po’ più sul serio. La dinamica dei Monstie funziona ed è ancora più divertente, così come il sistema di combattimento in stile “sasso-carta-forbice” che, pur rischiando di essere ripetitivo in alcuni frangenti, funziona e diventa più grintoso nella seconda parte dell’avventura. Spiace vedere una gestione del frame rate deficitaria che, insieme ad una narrazione buona ma non sempre accattivante, rappresentano gli unici difetti di quello che altrimenti è un buon JRPG per chi cerca qualcosa di diverso dal solito, e per i fan di Monster Hunter.
