Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn compie tanti passi in avanti ed inserisce novità (anche rispetto all'intero genere). Le varianti al gameplay e le modalità inserite concedono una maggiore semplicità d'accesso (che non si deve confondere con una semplicità intrinseca del gioco) rendendo più immediate alcune meccaniche che in passato neanche dipendevano completamente dal giocatore. Oltre a ciò la nuova Ultimate Mode convince a grandi linee e l'inserimento di obiettivi globali in alcune operazioni obbliga il giocatore a calcolare l'approccio nei minimi dettagli. L'abbandono del Cel Shading purtroppo priva graficamente di quella brillantezza vista nel terzo capitolo. In definitiva però, se siete fan di Gundam e non vi siete mai avvicinati ad un Musou questa è l'occasione giusta per provare; se d'altra parte siete dei fan dei Musou e volete farvi un'idea di massima sulle tematiche di un brand come quello di Gundam che quest'anno compie 35 anni, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn è un'ottima occasione.

Dynasty Warrior: Gundam Reborn es, sin duda, el juego que todo aficionado de la saga debería comprar. Perteneciente a un género que intenta abrirse paso en occidente, el musou, es un perfecto exponente de su jugabilidad, permitiendo batallas multitudinarias y un recorrido completo por 35 años de historias, personajes y gundams. No es la mejor opción para los neófitos, tanto de la serie como del tipo juego, que quieran iniciarse.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn is a fast and fun brawler with enough loot-crafting and variety between modes to keep things from getting too stale too quick. Played in short bursts, it’s an amusing arcade-style distraction incorporating a long-term reward system that keeps me coming back.

Every Warriors game has marched to the sound of its own drummer, and Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn is no exception. It certainly is one of the best entries in the series, and it covers a larger span of the anime's timelines and alternate lore than its predecessors. But outside of its exceptional appetite for action that’s all one should expect. This game is great value for the money as long as you know what you’re buying.

It's unfortunate that the Dynasty Warriors formula couldn't have been better tailored to such rich source material, as there was tantalizing potential for Gundam Reborn to be the definitive interactive Gundam experience. But it succeeds at what it aims to be: an action game full of epic displays of power and an endless supply of enemies to destroy, despite little variation in gameplay. Gundam and Dynasty Warriors fans will inevitably enjoy it most, but it remains approachable with streamlined storytelling and the subtle allure of stylish mobile suits. It would have been nice to have seen more equal representation of other popular Gundam series like Gundam Wing and G Gundam, and a more ambitious realization of each specific battle, but overall Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn is a game brimming with content and replayability, and it's hard to ask for more than that.

Contraddistinto dalla classica struttura di gioco 'musou', da sempre in grado di spaccare il pubblico di appassionati, Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn si presenta come l'episodio più completo della saga di beat'em'up Tecmo-Koei. Una modalità campagna in grado di attraversare (pur non senza qualche lacuna) ben sei archi narrativi diversi ed un Ultimate Mode che propone un inedito crossover tra i protagonisti delle diverse epoche 'gundamiane' sono infatti le principali attrazioni di un titolo in grado di soddisfare i desideri di tutti i fan della serie animata. Con più di 120 mech a disposizione e diverse modalità di personalizzazione di mezzi e piloti,ogni appassionato del franchise troverà pane per i propri denti, che difficilmente però verranno messi a dura prova da una difficoltà di gioco mai realmente in grado di impensierire i giocatori navigati. Un pacchetto consigliato ai soli aficionados, insomma, che al giudizio sottostante possono permettersi di aggiungere un voto pieno in tutta tranquillità.

Fans of Gundam and Dynasty Warriors may be thrilled by this pairing, but I found the simplistic gameplay and dull level designs too hard to overcome. I love the customization options and ability to switch mech suits, but hate that there isn't anything interesting to do with these characters. This is one franchise in serious need of a makeover.

Alla mia ennesima recensione di un gioco della categoria Musou mi trovo a scrivere praticamente lo stesso commento già espresso in almeno un altro paio di occasioni: siamo di fronte ad un gioco sostanzialmente mediocre, che impiega uno scheletro ludico logoro e ripetitivo applicandolo ad una licenza famosa. I patiti della serie Dynasty Warriors probabilmente saranno già corsi a comprarlo e dunque non mi rivolgo a loro. Se invece voi che state leggendo vi chiedete quanto questo Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn possa fare al caso vostro, non posso che rispondervi con due domande. Prima: quanto ancora volete ri-ascoltare la trama di questa o quella serie di Gundam raccontata tramite l’ennesima serie di scenette? E seconda: quanto a lungo siete disposti a immettere la stessa sequenza di tasti sul joypad per farvi strada lungo i ripetitivi livelli del gioco? Se le risposte che vi siete dati suonano positive, allora eccovi pronti per l'ennesimo Musou. Prossima fermata: Zelda!

Malgré un contenu une nouvelle fois colossal susceptible de vous occuper plusieurs centaines d'heures, ce Dynasty Warriors : Gundam Reborn a un gros côté déjà-vu qui en limite l'intérêt. L'abandon du cel shading, des histoires un poil verbeuses, un aspect très répétitif et un mode coop perfectible sont malheureusement aussi à déplorer. Néanmoins, il sait se rattraper un tantinet grâce à son concentré d'action, ses pouvoirs propres à chaque Mobile Suit et ses zones de jeu un peu plus ouvertes. Bref, si vous êtes un fan absolu, vous pouvez vous laisser tenter, sinon passez votre chemin.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn is basically what you’d expect from a game featuring Dynasty Warriors and Gundam. At its best, it’s a fun game that allows you to jump into the cockpit of a giant mech and slice through hundreds of enemies. At its worst, it’s an endless waltz through hundreds of unlocks, bland environments, and dumb enemies. If you like Gundam and Dynasty Warriors, you’ll probably have a good time, but everyone else would probably be served getting their Gundam fix elsewhere.

Doveva essere l'episodio della rinascita, e invece Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn non fa che confermare le mancanze di una serie incapace di rinnovare la propria offerta. Col terzo episodio si era cercato di mescolare un po' le carte dal punto di vista tecnico, utilizzando un'ottima grafica in cel shading che valorizzava il design dei Mobile Suit, ma anziché puntare nuovamente su tale scelta si è deciso di fare marcia indietro, tornando a uno stile tradizionale che però appare ben poco adeguato ai tempi, specie se consideriamo che le console di nuova generazione sono già sul mercato. Il problema grosso del gioco risiede però nel suo gameplay, eccessivamente ripetitivo e privo di sfide interessanti, accompagnato da una struttura corposa che tuttavia risulterà appetibile solo ai fan più irriducibili di Gundam.
