Per i fan delle IP scelte da 10:10 Games e per chi apprezza l'umorismo e l'estetica di questi ormai inconfondibili "pupazzetti", Funko Fusion può offrire ore e ore di divertimento (una quindicina nel mio caso), specialmente se si è disposti a chiudere un occhio sui suoi difetti. L'abbondanza di riferimenti ed easter egg rende l'esplorazione gratificante, gli enigmi sono piacevoli, il gunplay funziona e la varietà di gameplay tra i diversi mondi mantiene l'esperienza di gioco sempre piuttosto fresca. Rimangono però alcuni limiti non secondari (molto backtracking, ripetitività dopo 7-8 ore di gioco, narrazione poco coesa, assenza del multiplayer) e, se non fosse stato per la recente patch, la mole di bug e magagne tecniche avrebbe abbassato ulteriormente il voto finale. Alla fine però, pur senza sbloccare tutto il possibile, ho apprezzato questo bizzarro e stralunato viaggio cinematografico, che tra l’altro mi ha fatto aumentare a dismisura l’hype per LEGO Horizon Adventures.

Funko Fusion è un gioco che appaga solo all'impronta, appetibile e godibile unicamente se si è disposti a pagare il prezzo di un gameplay a volte monotono e/o frustrante pur di vestire i buffi panni di alcuni Funko Pop! davvero belli, tratti da franchise con poca o nulla rappresentanza videoludica. Alcuni momenti sono anche mirabili e inaspettati (ad esempio il mondo di The Umbrella Academy) ma in generale si ha l'impressione che si sia cercato di creare un'impalcatura citazionista con le IP che si avevano a disposizione, senza però dare un'impronta personale e specifica al gameplay, che non giustifica o contestualizza davvero il fatto che questo sia un titolo con i Funko protagonisti piuttosto che un altro qualsiasi dei sistemi di pupazzi collezionabili multi-franchise.

Funko Fusion Funko Fusion, allo stato attuale, è una piccola grande delusione. Quello che nelle ambizioni doveva segnare la nascita di un potenziale concorrente dei titoli LEGO, nella realtà è un titolo costellato di problemi tecnici che pregiudicano parzialmente l'esperienza ludica stessa. Dal canto suo, l'opera di 10:10 Games è una celebrazione dell'azienda americana e di decine di licenze entrate nell'immaginario collettivo, riprodotte con cura e passione in pieno stile Funko. Al netto di un gameplay semplice ed una ricca offerta contenutistica, il titolo potrebbe regalarvi molte ore di svago... a patto di essere pronti a percorre un semplice vialetto ad oggi fatto di bug e glitch. PRO Celebra sia il mondo Funko sia le IP presenti | Gameplay semplice e divertente a metà tra LEGO ed un TPS | Graficamente curato | CONTRO Molti problemi tecnici su PS5 ed Xbox Series | La ripetitività può farsi sentire | Non è semplice inquadrare il suo pubblico di riferimento |

Funko Fusion is fun to play and its TT Games / Lego series ancestry is clear to see, but its frequent backtracking, its slightly off comedy and the way some franchises get less love than others mean that fun is often experienced with an asterisk. It's worth a play, as long as you don't mind collectathons and replaying levels.

Funko Fusion feels like it actively goes out of its way to ensure you don’t have fun. Despite Funko choosing a few fun properties and characters to translate to a video game, a plethora of bugs, clunky gameplay, and frustrating moments continuously hamper your ability to ever enjoy the moment. I believe there may be a good game hidden deep within Funko Fusion, but it is buried under so many issues that I doubt many players will have the patience to find it. The lack of co-op upon launch is truly baffling, as that may have been the one thing to save this experience. At minimum, I'd wait until co-op is released and a few updates have been made before checking Funko Fusion out.

Funko Fusion reste une production honnête. S’il y a quand même pas mal de soucis dans son gameplay comme dans sa narration simpliste et son level design confus, le titre est un minimum fun dans sa prise en main. Qui plus est, le jeu de 1010 Games est généreux dans son contenu en proposant une myriade d’univers et de personnages jouables. Chaque univers est respecté, le ton est amusant, comme le gameplay dans ses premières heures, mais on ne pourra pas s’empêcher de pester contre une répétitivité affreuse et de nombreux bugs qui pourrissent l’expérience de jeu. Il n’en reste pas moins une aventure convenable dans l’ensemble, bien que l’on se demande encore si le titre, avec ses nombreux écueils, est vraiment destiné à un jeune public. Pour un premier jeu, le studio 1010 Games a fait un travail honnête, mais doit encore prendre de l’expérience.

Funko Fusion has no shortage of oversized heads, but between them all it still manages to contain precious little in the way of interesting new ideas. Its simplistic shooting is dull, its many bugs and backtracking requirements are exhausting, and its peculiar marriage of child-pleasing character styles and LEGO-like level design with a number of film and television licenses that are distinctly adult just seems ill-advised from the jump. Although it definitely nails the signature look of the pint-sized collectibles, it’s just not much fun to play which means that just like your Funko Pop collection it’s probably best left on the shelf.

Funko Fusion avait pas mal d’arguments à faire valoir sur le papier, mais dont la retranscription dans la réalité est difficile. Il y a quelques touches d’originalité, mais elles sont noyées dans une multitude de déjà-vu, un gameplay qui n’arrive pas à décoller et une optimisation loin d’être au rendez-vous. Il y avait pourtant de quoi proposer un sacré crossover, mais l’occasion est indéniablement manquée. En l'état, il est très difficile de vous conseiller Funko Fusion, à moins d'être un grand fan de ces figurines atypiques.

Non c’è altro modo di dirlo: Funko Fusion ci ha delusi più di quanto avremmo potuto temere. Fallisce frequentemente nell’incoraggiare la creatività del giocatore, confondendolo invece che guidandolo, costringendo sempre a un backtracking incerto e spesso immotivato. Il pregio più grande e la presenza di tantissimi franchise e delle scene di intermezzo che possono far scappare qualche sorriso, ma del resto, purtroppo, fallisce in quasi ogni aspetto. Se il cavallo di battaglia è la presenza dei Funko Pop, probabilmente anche i più grandi appassionati rischiano di annoiarsi dopo i primi minuti.

Funko Fusion is a mess. What could’ve been a fun series of homages wrapped in a simple, but inoffensive, action platformer has managed to miss the mark on all fronts and then some with worse quality control than an actual Funko Pop. I can absolutely see where 10:10 has chosen to focus its efforts on bringing these IP, or at least the Funko-fied versions of them, to life with the loose collection of references and gimmicks that it’s managed to muster, but it just feels like the studio spent so long putting on the garnish that it forgot to add any sauce.
