Yakuza 0 is the best of the traditional-styled Yakuza games, with the most complex story and interesting characters of the lot. It's also the ideal place for newcomers to get started with this weird and wonderful series.

Kunitsu-Gami was a real surprise. A solid blend of strategy and action that incorporates aspects of Shinto and Japanese folklore to create a visually stunning experience. It's a great showcase for Switch 2, even if mouse controls might not quite work for everyone.

Welcome Tour is a calming, surprisingly engaging hardware exhibition with a handful of cool minigames, a trove of interesting info, and some neat demos that showcase exactly what the little system can do. It makes you feel good about buying the thing, which makes the platform holder's decision not to bundle it with the console utterly baffling. Featuring expensive add-ons you might not own also won't impress anyone who's indignant that the company wants another 10 bucks for this.

Fast Fusion may not have the most comprehensive collection of tracks, but it's easily the most accomplished entry in Shin'en Multimedia's series so far. The new jump ability adds a new layer of strategy to the gameplay, while experimenting with the fusion mechanic to find the perfect vehicle is a joy. The occasional grinding to save up money can be a momentary drag, but if you're after something a bit more 'hardcore' than Mario Kart World, Fast Fusion is a no-brainer, and an absolute must-buy.

Street Fighter 6 on Switch 2 is a cracker, and in portable mode, it could well become my preferred way to play this fantastic entry in Capcom's storied franchise. The only fly in the ointment with this port is 30fps fights in World Tour. It's a shame, and it's 100% gonna be a dealbreaker for some.

Mario Kart World Mario Kart World è destinato ad essere un titolo storico. Non solo ha l'onore di accompagnare il lancio della nuova generazione Nintendo, ma ha altresì l'onere di evolvere la solida formula di Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Il risultato finale riesce tuttavia ad andare oltre il semplice miglioramento, finendo con il rappresentare un vera rivoluzione per lo storico franchise. Le nuove introduzioni di gameplay (il grinding ed il wall running) sono talmente impattanti sul modo di leggere ed approcciare le gare che rendono World un'autentica novità anche per i giocatori più esperti. In quest'ottica, a non convincere pienamente è tuttavia la struttura open world (che poteva e probabilmente doveva essere migliore) così come una componente multigiocatore che, quantomeno in questo momento, fatica a trovare un equilibrio tra il numero incrementato di giocatori ed il marasma caotico di armi. Ancora più profondo rispetto al passato e con una quantità enciclopedica di contenuti, il ritorno di Mario sulle piste è l'archetipo del perfetto titolo di lancio. PRO Grinding e wall running cambiano completamente l'approccio al gameplay | Elevatissimo numero di contenuti | Tecnicamente solido e performante | CONTRO L'open world poteva essere proposto in maniera maggiormente convincente | L'avanzamento nell'online è ancorato ad una struttura che sente il peso degli anni | La gestione di alcuni menù poteva essere migliore |
