Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is at once a joyful and joyless recreation of a stone-cold classic. Packed to the gills with content, this drive down memory lane still contains a sense of the original’s magic, and artfully decorates your favorite tracks and drivers with an impeccable attention to detail. But it’s not immune to the modern era, and the threat of live-service DLC and nostalgia-grabbing microtransactions looms heavy over the entire game.

Monster Jam Steel Titans is a solid Monster Truck game with unique events, thrilling gameplay, and chaotic nature. While the title lacks the presentation and robustness of many Triple-A titles, if you’re looking for a racer that’s easy to pick up, hard to master, and fun to mess with, you can do a lot worse than Monster Jam Steel Titans.

Forgotton Anne si conferma anche su iOS un'ottima avventura, caratterizzata da uno stile grafico strepitoso e da una narrazione molto convincente, supportata fra le altre cose da una colonna sonora di gran classe. Tuffarsi nel misterioso mondo dei Dimenticati e indagare sulle fazioni ribelli e sulle loro motivazioni risolvendo enigmi si rivela fin da subito un'esperienza coinvolgente, e il formato scelto dagli sviluppatori per questa riduzione mobile pensiamo sia il migliore possibile: si completa una parte introduttiva e poi si è liberi di smettere oppure acquistare la versione completa al prezzo di 9,99 euro, la metà di quanto richiesto su PC e console. Considerata la qualità del prodotto, peraltro, avrete ben poche remore a spendere questa cifra.

Codemasters haciendo evolucionar a la saga. No aporta nada destacable (más allá de la F2, que se podría haber aprovechado mucho más), pero mejora los apartados más importantes del juego con un apartado técnico espectacular, un manejo más ajustado y, en general, un título más divertido y fidedigno a la Fórmula 1 que nunca. Justo lo que los fans le pedirían a F1 2019.

There’s an argument to be made that Judgment does at points let the familiar get the best of itself — confusing the mere sake of additional features and mechanics for those that genuinely feel like fresh changes. While its gameplay additions, those that cater towards the more detective-orientated style of play and presentation, can feel like a mixed bag of shallow and interesting deviations alike, it’s but a minor crease in a game that once again excels both on its content and the knowledge on how to use it. A story that is engaging, intriguing yet thoughtfully structured, complete with another grand cast of new characters, even when it risks of becoming too pedestrian, Judgment predominantly finds the means to keep players fixed on the events unfolding. Fans of the Yakuza series may be quick to filter out what’s genuinely new from everything else, but for a game as packed and as entertaining as this, what it may lack in pure originality, Judgment more than makes up for with a game that is as fun to engage with as it is to just sit back and watch as the now-commonly bizarre antics of Kamurocho play out to delightful and convincing effect.

Misant à 100% sur le style si personnel de Justin Roiland, Trover Saves the Universe vous propose de vivre une aventure forcément loufoque et surréaliste aux côtés du jeune extraterrestre éponyme. De planète en planète, Trover enchaînera des phases de plate-formes et d'exploration assez classiques avec des combats peu passionnants qui finiront même par lasser. Mais c'est bien évidemment pour ses nombreuses blagues transgressives, trash et volontairement dérangeantes que l'on plongera dans cette quête absurde qui ne se fiche pas mal de la bienséance. Si vous êtes client de l'oeuvre de Roiland, les dialogues et l'ambiance très particulière de Trover Saves the Universe masqueront allègrement un titre aux mécaniques très sages, quitte à parfois frôler l'overdose. Pour les autres, en revanche, ce sera nécessairement plus compliqué...

Facile à prendre en main en dépit d'une profondeur de jeu impressionnante, Samurai Shodown version 2019 propose une modernisation intelligente de la licence mythique de SNK. Si la technique est un peu faible, le titre compense par une superbe direction artistique et surtout un plaisir de jeu semblable à nul autre. Car les joutes de Samurai Shodown sont trop intenses, trop intelligentes pour laisser insensible et jamais l'on ne se lasse d'esquiver, de bloquer, de contrer, pour ensuite infliger la contre-attaque fatale. Un jeu de combat atypique et imparfait, mais qu'il faut absolument essayer, au moins une fois dans sa vie.
