Banner of the Maid avait de quoi attirer l'œil avec son univers que l'on voit peu dans le jeu vidéo, la Révolution française, et une approche originale de cette période avec sa touche anime. Malheureusement, force est de constater que si l'idée était attrayante sur le papier, elle n'apporte rien de transcendant dans les faits. Avec une histoire qui tombe rapidement dans les poncifs des animes, desservie par une réalisation simpliste et un gameplay certes efficace et irréprochable mais trop classique, le jeu d'Azure Flame Studio ne décolle jamais vraiment. Il lui reste alors son univers original qui pourra contenter les adeptes de Tactical-RPG en manque de nouveaux titres.

Con Blood & Truth, Sony dimostra che non c'è VR senza un big disposto a investire soldi, tanti soldi, anche nello sviluppo di software all'altezza. Nonostante il tracking incerto di PlayStation VR e PlayStation Move, la realtà virtuale Sony continua a distaccare la concorrenza, tecnologicamente ben più avanzata, grazie a software dedicati e in esclusiva. Vi straconsigliamo di giocarlo con i due motion controller visto che, nonostante il buon lavoro svolto in fase di adattamento, il Dualshock non ce la fa proprio a garantire la stessa esperienza: se non avete i Move, potete tranquillamente togliere un voto e mezzo al totale. Chiudiamo con un'ottima notizia per tutti coloro che non masticano l'inglese e odiano leggere i sottotitoli nella VR: Blood & Truth è totalmente tradotto in italiano. Che i detrattori si mettano l'anima in pace: negli ultimi sei mesi la realtà virtuale ci sta facendo vedere cose sempre più incredibili e tecnicamente mature, e l'offerta non potrà che migliorare ancora.

Admittedly, there are quite a few ways in which you can tell this is a game from a lesser known developer that isn’t experienced in the ARPG style. That being said, Eko Software has still managed to put out a really solid game that will easily hook hack ‘n slash fans. If you’ve already played Grim Dawn into the ground and aren’t interested in what’s happening with the new Diablo and Torchlight games, Chaosbane will easily offer you dozens of hours of daemon killing fun either solo or co-op.

Nicalis’ marriage of puzzle and fighting game elements in the fan service-heavy Crystal Crisis coalesces in a largely satisfying experience. While the roster can feel unbalanced, loading times can be long and the story mode feels trite, the overarching, nuanced gameplay will keep players strategizing and returning to Crystal Crisis time and time again.
