Between its compelling art direction, surprisingly complex strategic decisions, and inventive weaponry, there’s a lot much to love in Void Bastards. Unfortunately, its overall structure and narrative will leave you feeling empty by the end. That’s not to say you shouldn’t let yourself enjoy all that this charming, stressful game has to offer. Just don’t expect to feel totally satisfied once you escape to the right nebula.

En dépit du fait qu'il peine à sortir de son cadre « train fantôme ultra luxe », que la narration n'est pas toujours au beau fixe et que les quelques scènes d'action ne sont pas systématiquement réussies, Layers of Fear 2 reste toujours un choix de gourmet pour tous les amateurs de jeux d'horreur psychologique. Varié, immersif, angoissant et déployant des trésors de mise en scène, Layers of Fear 2 est une expérience à vivre, même si le mimétisme avec son aîné l'empêche de s'émanciper totalement.

Oubliez les batailles spatiales et les heures passées face à un atelier de craft, Outer Wilds redéfinit d'une manière captivante le sens du mot exploration dans le jeu vidéo. Par un scénario original, qui plus est bourré d'humour, et grâce à un game design ingénieux basé sur la répétition d'une boucle temporelle de destruction, le titre encourage sans cesse le joueur à s'engager sur la voie de sa propre curiosité. Les bonnes surprises s'enchaînent alors au rythme calme de nos découvertes et les mystères de ce système solaire délicieusement atypique se dévoilent peu à peu face à nos yeux d'explorateur en herbe.

Unruly Heroes giunge su PlayStation 4 carico di novità e migliorie. Nel complesso non posso che elogiare il lavoro svolto da Magic Design Studios. Nonostante le piccole incertezze riscontrate, consiglio assolutamente l'acquisto a tutti gli amanti della sfida e dei platform. A maggior ragione nel caso aveste qualche amico con cui condividere l'avventura!

Void Bastards is a serviceable first-person shooter, at best. Whilst intriguing, initially exciting, and quite deep as far as its crafting goes, the game’s lack of play depth and environmental variation makes for a very repetitive trek overall. On top of that, its unrefined combat and its lackluster AI proves to be a further hindrance throughout. Still, there’s certainly some fun to had in this loot-fueled space romp, it’s just very fleeting.

Layers of Fear 2 is fairly hit and miss for a sequel. Whilst it manages to hold its own, it doesn’t quite meet the quality nor the ambition found in its predecessor. The gameplay may be considered to be too easy for its own good, and certain elements do feel somewhat rushed. Though, that being said, one has to commend its level of polish and its psychological approach, ultimately putting forward an experience that’s both unique, and provocative.

Sumo have made some stellar efforts in the past, but Team Sonic Racing is, needless to say, their best effort by far. What’s here is a love letter to all things Sonic, not just in character variation, but stage design, audio presentation, and much more besides. Despite some online teething issues, some questionable AI behavior, and the odd poor design choice, you’ll not find a better kart racer this side of a Nintendo system.

If you don't mind being actively abused and tortured for hours on end, Vambrace can become extremely addicting for fans of either Darkest Dungeon or classic SNES RPGs.

Τόσο κοντά, αλλά και τόσο μακριά... Μια κατά τ’ άλλα εξαιρετική προσπάθεια, με πολύ καλή ιστορία, απίστευτο artwork στα σχέδια και ωραία μουσική, αμαυρώνεται από μία και μόνο παράμετρο: την τύχη. Ένας challenging τίτλος που απαιτεί στρατηγική σκέψη πρέπει να στηρίζεται στην ικανότητα του παίκτη και όχι στο πόσο τυχερός ή άτυχος είναι στη στροφή που θα πάρει. Όχι γιατί μας αρέσει η μασημένη τροφή, αλλά γιατί στο τέλος καταντάει απίστευτα κουραστικό και αποθαρρυντικό. Και μιας και μιλάμε για ένα αντικειμενικά καλό και χορταστικό game, είναι κρίμα να μην υπάρξουν άμεσα μία ή δύο διορθώσεις, που ειλικρινά πιστεύουμε θα αλλάξουν άρδην τη gameplay εμπειρία.
