Bel hommage à Lovecraft que ce Conarium qui, s’il ne sait pas vraiment s’il est un jeu d’aventures teinté d’énigmes timides ou un walking simulator « plus », parvient à imposer son ambiance inquiétante, oppressante à la faveur d’une bande-son incroyablement bien fichue. Le rythme est maitrisé, l’histoire prenante et très bien documentée : pour peu que l’on soit réceptif à ce genre de jeu très posé et facilement bouclable en un après-midi, Conarium est un titre tranquillement recommandable.

Auf dem Papier klingt Riot: Civil Unrest hoch aktuell und spannend: Man darf sowohl auf Seiten von Aktivisten als auch auf Seiten der Polizei auf realen Geschehnissen basierende Demonstrationen nachspielen. Man hat die Wahl, ob und wie viel Gewalt man einsetzt, wie man auf Provokationen reagiert und wie man versucht, der Gegenseite den Zahn zu ziehen, ohne in der Öffentlichkeit sein Gesicht zu verlieren. In der Praxis jedoch hält sich der Spaß in Grenzen. Das idealistische Vorhaben, dem Spieler einen ungefilterten Blick auf Konfliktdynamik, Aktion und Reaktion sowie Gewalt und Gegengewalt in diesen Situationen zu geben, ist löblich. Doch das Spiel dahinter ist zu oberflächlich und die zur Verfügung stehenden Aktionen sind überschaubar. Dazu gesellen sich KI-Probleme, die sich nicht nur in der maroden Wegfindung äußern. Nicht zu vergessen die sehr gewöhnungsbedürftige Steuerung auf Konsolen, die das einfache Prinzip unnötig komplex macht. Auch im Hinblick auf die Steam-Workshop-Anwendung und die damit verbundene Nachschub-Option an Szenarien sind PS4 und One unterlegen. Doch selbst wenn die PC-Fassung deutliche Vorteile hat, macht sie das noch lange nicht zu einem packenden Strategiespiel mit sozialkritischem Hintergrund. Dazu fehlen schlichtweg Substanz sowie Tiefgang – die Idee alleine trägt das Konzept nicht.

Como otros plataformas exigentes, como N++ o Super Meat Boy The King's Bird tiene en su control y propuesta sus principales virtudes. Generar "momento", y usarlo para planear por los niveles suele ser la clave de un juego que reduce al máximo la historia para ofrecer una experiencia desafiante, centrada en superar nuestros tiempos.

Mario & Luigi è una saga che speriamo non finisca mai. Ogni volta AlphaDream trova un modo per reinventarsi e buttare nel calderone idee di una struttura che riesce a mantenersi solida e appagante, nonché divertente e ideale per giocare in mobilità. Nintendo ci consegna un altro ottimo remake, arricchito dello spin-off strategico di Bowser Jr., che permette alla serie di ripresentarsi alle nuove leve, nella speranza di vedere il talentuoso team cimentarsi con una console domestica. Quanto manca all'annuncio per Switch?
