Front Mission 2 : Remake porte très mal son nom et aurait dû s’intituler Front Mission 2 : Remaster. Le travail réalisé sur l’interface est inexistant ou presque, tandis que l’aspect visuel s’avère vraiment décevant. Même constat pour certaines mécaniques qui, en trente ans, ont pris de l’âge. Heureusement pour lui, le jeu profite encore et toujours de ses points forts qui lui ont valu son succès : une personnalisation dingue, une histoire intéressante et des combats qui, une fois maitrisés, s’avèrent vraiment agréables à jouer.

Pese a los retrasos sufridos, Best Way ha sabido actualizar lo que ofrece la saga Men of War para darnos una segunda parte que no te lleva de la mano y supone todo un desafío si eres amante de los RTS ambientados en la segunda guerra mundial. Te abofeteará por perder tropas si no juegas bien, pero sabrá recompensarte si te tomas tu tiempo en aprender los entresijos del título con una experiencia única, gratificante, y que realmente te enseña a valorar cada unidad que compone un cuerpo del ejercito y cómo debe usarse correctamemte.

Men of War II si presenta come un gioco estremamente ambizioso, e riesce a raggiungere una buona parte dei suoi obiettivi. Complesso, profondo, molto realistico, offre una esperienza che non molti strategici in tempo reale possono anche solo avvicinare. La sua ricerca di realismo espone il fianco ad alcune caratteristiche non molto “amichevoli” e a volte frustranti, ma il risultato finale offre comunque l’opportunità di immergersi in una complessa ed emozionante simulazione della seconda guerra mondiale.

In realtà non ci sarebbe molto da dire su Men of War II. Il titolo sviluppato da Best Way ricalca da vicino quanto già visto nel primo capitolo, apporta qualche miglioramento e segna un passo in avanti dal punto di vista tecnico, ma si tratta sempre di un ottimo RTS, tanto profondo quanto poco accomodante. Il nostro consiglio è quello di non arrendervi davanti alle prime difficoltà e di chiudere un occhio sulle evidenti imprecisioni dell'interfaccia e dei comandi, perché superati questi due ostacoli ci si ritrova con fra le mani uno strategico capace di regalare non poche soddisfazioni.

La pubblicazione del gioco è stata curata da Fulqrum Publishing, celebre publisher ceco noto per il moderno King’s Bounty. But ironically, Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution demonstrates some of the real-life ailments of the industry, with a lazy spin off built around salvaged concepts and sloppy combat. Undoubtedly, Nep Nep and the rest of the Guardian Goddesses deserve far better.

Fabledom absolutely nails its pitch for a wholesome city builder. There’s plenty of opportunities to create your aesthetically pleasing town, and the story objective of having to court another ruler is brilliant and unique. What lies under Fabledom is some good foundations for a survival city builder, but the way the logistics and production chain works makes it difficult to discern what’s wrong in any part of that chain, making troubleshooting such issues less fun and puzzling. Still, in a competitive market such is the city builder genre, Fabledom found its niche, and may it live there and thrive, happily ever after.
