Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution stands out for a novel protagonist choice and some new characters with endearing dynamics. Yet, the tiring and frustrating combat design, dull narrative, and overabundance of lackadasical growth make this an adventure you're better off avoiding. This is an unfortunate, substantial drop in quality from Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters.

Luce ed oscurità, bene e male, dio e il diavolo, cosa sono in realtà? INDIKA se lo chiede continuamente, e lo chiede anche a voi. Dunque credo abbiate capito che non sia un titolo per tutti. Alcune volte è incredibile, molte volte è strano, talvolta lascia interdetti. È un esperimento autoriale curioso, che non riesce nell'intento di dare spazio a tutto nel migliore dei modi, ma inevitabilmente questo viaggio introspettivo vi rimarrà impresso, a patto di avere la giusta sensibilità di coglierlo nel segno.

Baladins offers an addictive, choose-your-own-roleplaying adventure in the fantastical land of Gatherac. As members of the titular guild, players aim to save Gatherac from the evil time dragon Colobra by breaking a six-week time loop. Each character brings unique skills that influence the story. The game’s skill system, similar to other RPGs, involves using and improving skills to succeed in various encounters. Despite a few glitches, the game's humorous quests, engaging skill checks, and vibrant settings make it a delightful experience.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron è uno dei pochi titoli a non albergare il “grigio videoludico”, dimostrandosi un titolo controverso in quanto o lo si ama o lo si odia, con poche (quasi nulle) vie di mezzo. Viverlo oggi, dopo più di dieci anni dalla sua pubblicazione originale, costringe ad accettare piccoli compromessi che oggi giorno potrebbero essere viste più come pecche che motivi di lode. Un HUD assente, un’elevata semplicità (quasi monotonia) nei comandi, l’assenza di una reale progressione del personaggio e una trama criptica, sono motivi di controversia quanto di fascino nel suo voler andare oltre i dettami divenuti oramai standard in questo panorama videoludico. Ad impreziosire l’opera troviamo ancora una volta il suo punto forte, il design ricercato e delle tracce musicali capaci di conquistare velocemente il giocatore. In questa remaster HD su Switch troviamo anche un’ottima fluidità, ad esclusione di qualche caduta nelle fasi più concitate. Un titolo da recuperare, così da potervi perdere almeno una volta all’interno dei suoi quadri interattivi e, per noi, divenuti oramai senza tempo.

Charming yet challenging, Paper Trail is a beautifully designed game that will have you perplexed by its page-folding puzzles. A generous hint system ensures players won't get so stuck that they get frustrated, while collecting all the origami is a task that will likely turn even the most ardent puzzle fan's brain to pulp.

Dread Delusion è un GDR vecchio stile che punta tutto sull'esplorazione e sulla libertà, centrando in pieno l'obiettivo. Esplorare queste magiche e strane isole volanti è divertente e appassionante ed è un'esperienza che consigliamo, a meno che l'unica cosa che vogliate sia correre dritti e combattere tutto il tempo. Il sistema corpo a corpo e l'IA dei nemici è infatti banale, solo un extra nel mezzo del resto del gioco. Avremmo gradito anche un livello di difficoltà un po' più alto ma nel complesso, con la sua mappa mai troppo grande e missioni interessanti a livello narrativo, Dread Delusion è un'ottima avventura che non dovreste ignorare.

It has its issues and doesn’t bring a lot of new things to the table, but it’s a fun, familiar stepping stone to the next Neptunia game, and that's all fans really want.

Another Crab’s Treasure se ve como un videojuego para niños, pero cuenta una historia para adultos y se juego como un Dark Souls. Es una mezcla encantadora con la que resulta fácil congeniar y que va más allá de ese efecto sorpresa inicial. Jugablemente ofrece una experiencia sólida y desafiante, aunque no tan profunda como a muchos aficionados de los ‘soulslike’ le hubiera gustado. En su contra juegan algunos bugs y fallos de diseño que hacen algunos (pocos) combates un tanto estomagantes.

Fabledom es un constructor de ciudades en el que puedes levantar tu propio reino. El juego es capaz de crear un ambiente acogedor y su mundo tiene unos detalles muy simpáticos, pero la falta de contenido puede llevar a que el jugador pierda el interés rápidamente.

Little Kitty, Big City, es un título que, sin muchas pretensiones, nos ofrece ser un gato y sentirnos como uno, recorriendo una pequeña localidad para poder regresar a nuestro hogar. Sin ir tan lejos, es muy sencillo, aunque no por ello dejaremos de pasarla bien. Se entiende lo que sus responsables querían transmitir y eso nos ha encantado. No es complejo, es directo y nos coloca en situaciones muy alegres y divertidas, todo a través de los ojos de un felino. Nuestro recorrido será corto pero gratificante. Puedes aprovechar para jugarlo porque, desde su lanzamiento, se encuentra en Xbox Game Pass.

Biomutant has a solid core. Unique enemy designs, a wide variety of weapons to use in combat, and flexible, fun combat are all highlights, but an arduous narrator and a monotone story filled with repetitive quests and tasks weigh the experience down. Pair all of this with the unpleasant visuals and low-quality textures, and we have to wonder if the game should have waited for Nintendo’s next console. The actual gameplay experience is great, but instead of feeling like a polished handheld version of the game, Biomutant feels like it has been rushed out the door and left standing on the porch a bit dishevelled.
