Wild Hearts S is a satisfying, if unspectacular, addition to the Switch 2’s early library. The monster hunting and equipment building is just as rewarding and addictive as you would hope, and there’s tons of replayability here whether you’re playing solo or with friends.

Entre Lies of P, Black Myth : Wukong et, maintenant, Wuchang : Fallen Feathers, les studios de développement asiatiques secouent le genre du Souls-like, bien qu’ils aient pris le train en cours de route. Énième itération d’un genre à part entière qu’on ne présente plus, la création de Leenzee trouve l’équilibre parfait entre un Souls-like qui revient au source et un jeu dont le genre doit se réinventer sous peine de lasser. Au bout du compte, l’expérience promise par Wuchang : Fallen Feathers est honnête, robuste et sincèrement divertissante, à défaut d’amener une révolution. C’est dommage car il ne manque pas grand-chose à ses très bonnes idées pour en faire un fleuron du genre !

Patapon 1+2 Replay es un buen pack para revivir estos dos juegos clásicos, que tiene muchísimo más valor en su versión de Nintendo Switch. Son dos juegos que parece creados para esta plataforma. Su propuesta única, mezcla de ritmo y estrategia, se mantiene fresca gracias a su diseño original y sus mejoras técnicas. Una nueva generación puede descubrir este estos juegos de la mítica PSP que marchaban a su propio compás.

La rimasterizzazione proposta da Bandai Namco dei primi due capitoli di Patapon, giochi diventati di culto e confinati ad una console caduta in obsolescenza, è il modo migliore per riscoprire il fascino di una saga che in passato aveva goduto di porting problematici: l'assurda ricetta ludica di Pyramid e Japan Studio, con il suo miscuglio di strategia e ritmo con elementi da gioco di ruolo, è ancora irresistibile nonostante la ripetitività che si annida alla base, anche a causa di una struttura ludica che dà il meglio di sé con sessioni di gioco brevi. Su questa collection pesa non solo l'assenza del terzo capitolo, sebbene la scelta sia comprensibile, ma anche la mancanza di aggiunte di spessore che avrebbero potuto suscitare l'interesse di un pubblico più vasto rispetto ai nostalgici della prima ora.

Shadow Labyrinth è una sorprendente rivisitazione dark di Pac-Man, che unisce l’estetica arcade degli anni ’80 a un gameplay metroidvania moderno e spietato. Nei panni di uno spadaccino silenzioso, guidato dall’enigmatico PAAC, il giocatore esplora un mondo labirintico, crudele e affascinante. Le meccaniche classiche vengono rimescolate con sezioni platform in cui Pac-Man torna in azione, trasformandosi persino in un mech. Il ritmo, inizialmente lento, lascia spazio a una seconda metà brillante e piena di idee. Un omaggio folle, ambizioso e riuscito al mito di Pac-Man, reinventato per chi ha ancora fame di sfide.

If you're intrigued by Shadow Labyrinth's fresh approach to Pac-Man, I recommend giving it a shot on Switch 2. It provides an intriguing narrative in a foreboding world with varied environments throughout, and PUCK proves to be a compelling character. The short bursts of Pac-Man-style gameplay help mix up the experience, and this is very welcome since the game never really delivers a 'wow' moment. Much of it has been done better elsewhere, but this is nevertheless a promising new direction for an ageing franchise; one I hope to see continue in the future.

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business doesn’t reinvent the Rogue City formula, but it does build off of its most fun elements. By shrinking the scope to one building, the experience zeroes in on character and environmental beats that just wouldn’t have worked before. Still, many of the glitches and gameplay limitations remain, and even though they work well within the Robocop series, optimization would go a long way toward enhancing the experience. If you were wondering if you should play Unfinished Business, well, that’s easy, because hell ya, you should.

Après avoir terminé ce Robocop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, un sentiment contrasté nous anime : on retrouve le fun du premier épisode mais ce standalone ne prend pas de risques, et c’est bien ça le problème. On restera finalement dans une certaine continuité par rapport à l’opus précédent mais avec un level design bien moins inspiré : couloirs étroits et élimination de vagues d’ennemis successives seront les maître-mots d’une expérience vidéoludique qui ne restera pas dans les livres d’histoire. S’ajoute à cela bon nombre de problèmes techniques qui, espérons-le, seront rapidement corrigés par le biais de mises à jour. Toutefois, on appréciera toujours l’utilisation intelligente de l’Unreal Engine et la présence d’un doublage de qualité qui raviront les fans de la franchise. Une aventure somme toute dispensable qui s’adressera finalement aux personnes ayant apprécié Robocop: Rogue City et qui en demandaient davantage. Si vous n’avez pas fait le précédent épisode, nous vous conseillons de vous orienter vers ce dernier plutôt que ce standalone.

You can't really go wrong with Unfinished Business if you enjoyed its underrated predecessor, but expectations need to be kept in check. This standalone follow-up is disappointingly rough around the edges, and although its comically violent combat remains satisfying, it's not varied enough to elevate the entire action-heavy campaign.

As someone who delighted in blasting through the original RoboCop: Rogue City, my hopes for this standalone Unfinished Business expansion were higher than a junkie on Nuke. However, outside of the exhilarating playable cameo from ED-209, there’s really not enough new here to make another 10 hours as everyone’s favourite baby food-slurping supercop worth going out of your way for. Peter Weller’s deadpan delivery is as endearing as ever, and the cryo gun is an icy blast (though ironically still not quite as cool to use as the Auto 9), but the supporting cast of characters is seriously shoddy and the raft of performance issues on PlayStation 5 make for a bumpier ride than accelerating up the exit ramp from the Metro West carpark. If you thirst for some more Auto 9 bursts flourished with TJ Lazer-inspired twirls then RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business will certainly scratch the itch on your trigger finger, but it’s far from the future of law enforcement.

Shadow Labyrinth is an admirable big swing that places Pac-Man in a strange new space. Unfortunately, while there are some fun elements taken from the arcade classic and a few neat ideas sprinkled in, the majority of the game is a by-the-numbers Metroidvania that doesn't quite come together. It feels like a game built to please Pac-fans and hardcore players that lap up the likes of Hollow Knight, but the end result is something that underserves both. It's not bad, but with so many incredible 2D Metroidvanias these days, this one doesn't quite do enough to measure up.
