En se lançant pour la première fois dans le genre du Metroidvania, l'équipe du petit studio Douze Dixièmes ne se doutait sans doute pas qu'elle parviendrait à atteindre un tel degré de maitrise. Que ce soit sur la question du level-design, de la direction artistique ou même de la courbe de progression, tout est pensé pour que le joueur profite d'une expérience tout à fait ludique, en profitant par ailleurs d'une ambiance mélancolique si particulière qu'elle donne envie de s'y replonger à chaque instant.

Retrouver Animal Crossing sur Switch 2, c’est raviver une flamme que l'on croyait vacillante. L'archipel n'a jamais été aussi resplendissant, sublimé par une 4K qui rend chaque recoin irrésistible, en dépit d'une ergonomie qui s'obstine dans ses vieilles habitudes. Mais qu'importe : entre l’effervescence de l’Hôtel Amiral et la liberté totale du mode Rêver'îles qui tombent à pic, cette mouture offre le souffle de nouveauté nécessaire pour briser la routine. On est simplement heureux d'avoir trouvé une si belle raison de revenir. Si cette version n'est pas indispensable, une fois essayée, il devient difficile de revenir en arrière...

Overall, it’s been good to play these classic racers again. Nostalgia is doing some heavy lifting though, and if you’re not familiar with Street Racer then I would hazard a guess that you won’t quite see what the fuss is about. A lack of archival content, as well as some other versions of the game, is a shame but if you’re into retro gaming and fancy a fun – if challenging – racer, then this collection is worth a look.

Code Violet est tellement nul qu’il vous fera regretter les pires moments de votre vie de joueuse ou de joueur. Exclusivité PS5 qui cache un opportunisme commercial, ce jeu d’horreur avec des dinosaures empile les tares et ne mérite que des tartes. Il est surtout d’une hypocrisie abjecte. Moche, techniquement bâclé, assorti d’un gameplay pénible, enrobé dans une direction artistique imbuvable, pourvu d’une narration risible, Code Violet n’a strictement rien pour lui. Nous ne sommes qu’au mois de janvier, mais le pire de 2026 est déjà là, sous nos yeux.

Code Violet is not the Dino Crisis successor you may have hoped for. It doesn't even clear the bar of being a successful clone of the various other third-person shooters it cribs most of its ideas from. Its dated map layouts and visual style let its predecessors down. The only weight I felt from its convoluted story and flat, empty characters were on my eyelids. Its anemic host of enemies are dull, and far more scary are the amount of bugs that were in this review build that, though a priority on developer TeamKill Media’s list of fixes, hit Code Violet’s balance and pacing like a life-ending comet from outer space.

Code Violet is a mess. Crummy combat, tedious exploration, technical problems. The sexy costumes and horny camerawork seem at odds with both Violet as a character and the tone of the writing. Even at six hours long it's tough to recommend, because in six hours you could just watch Jurassic Park three times. And if you did that, you’d never once feel the need to justify what’s currently on your screen.

Code Violet is not worth recommending to survival horror fans. None of its elements work to make it stand out in a crowded space, and this one is going to be forgotten quite easily. You'd be wise to save your cash for another of 2026's offerings.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes is a simplified yet cinematic story expansion that focuses on the best of the IP, without bogging you down with too much clutter. Its new third-person mode gives the game a whole new feel, and we wouldn’t play it any other way. While Massive missed the mark with its Na’Vi enemies, it's a delight to spend more time in this giant multimedia sci-fi world.

Sleep Awake colpisce più per ciò che evoca che per ciò che fa realmente giocare, offrendo un'esperienza horror-psicologica densa, autoriale, spesso affascinante nella sua estetica e nella sua ambizione di restituire un senso autentico di stanchezza, alienazione e disfacimento mentale. Allo stesso tempo, però, il gioco resta frenato da un gameplay troppo timido, che raramente riesce a tradurre in meccaniche efficaci il potente discorso sul sonno e sull’insonnia che anima l'intera narrazione. Non tutto, quindi, funziona, ma l’immaginario, l'impatto visivo e alcuni momenti emotivi lasciano il segno, con il risultato di un walking simulator consigliato a chi cerca esperienze visionarie più che sfide ludiche.
