Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a good arena fighter, and a noted improvement over its predecessor, but it’s not a sea change. I’m not over the moon about the inclusion of gear, I yearn for better teaching tools, and I wish there was more to The Path of the Demon Slayer. But the Story Mode is compelling, the fighting still has the juice, and I’m a big fan of the expanded roster, smart if subtle gameplay changes, and roguelike Hashira Training mode. The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a worthy sequel to a good game, and a good game itself. I just hope we don’t have to wait another four years for a sequel.

Nel bene e nel male, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 si propone non solo come sequel diretto del primo capitolo, ma anche come sua versione migliorata: tutti i pregi e difetti della precedente opera di CyberConnect2 sono rimasti intatti, con ben poche novità da segnalare. Si tratta dunque ancora una volta di una produzione destinata prevalentemente agli appassionati del celebre anime e manga, che rimarranno sicuramente soddisfatti dal modo in cui sono stati riproposti gli eventi della storia. Le battaglie contro i boss e le mosse finali, in particolare, sono il fiore all'occhiello di un arena fighter 3D che dovrebbe soddisfare i più grandi fan.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 è un sequel estremamente conservativo, e di conseguenza ha ereditato sia i più grandi pregi del proprio predecessore che alcune delle sue principali lacune. Difatti, nonostante le simpatiche trovate escogitate da CyberConnect2 per diversificare un minimo le fasi esplorative, le sequenze free roaming offerte dalla Modalità Storia appaiono ancora scialbe e noiosette. Avendo già a disposizione un sistema di combattimento solido e molto tecnico, soprattutto per un arena fighter, lo studio di Fukuoka si è quindi concentrato sulla componente contenutistica, dotando finalmente il prodotto di un roster di tutto rispetto e di sfiziose modalità che arricchiscono l’offerta. In mezzo ai tanti, mediocri tie-in che nelle ultime settimane hanno invaso il mercato, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 è in definitiva una gemma imperfetta con cui qualsiasi appassionato del genere e della licenza dovrebbe assolutamente cimentarsi.

Está claro que Las crónicas de Hinokami 2 es una clara mejora del primer juego de lucha basado en Kimetsu no Yaiba, aunque sigue teniendo leves problemas en rendimiento y diseño. Sin embargo, es un buen juego para fans de la serie, aunque es el que debería haberse lanzado en 2021.

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is a perfect addition to the series. It looks and sounds amazing, and with accessibility options it feels more fair. It’s great!

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a triumphant return to form for the series, delivering tight 2D action-platforming, masterful level design, and thrilling boss battles, all underscored by stylish pixel art and an energetic soundtrack. Though brief in runtime, its challenge, polish, and replayability make it an experience that every action platforming fan should play.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound è un'efficace rivisitazione di un genere che ormai è sempre meno rappresentato. The Game Kitchen ha trovato un compromesso ideale tra l'immediatezza di un tempo e la complessità che ci si aspetta dai videogiochi moderni, ideando un hack'n'slash frenetico e articolato che ruota tutto intorno a una semplice soluzione di gameplay. Un esperimento che non è riuscito alla perfezione: il gioco alterna passaggi semplicissimi e più frustranti, ma mai davvero impegnativi, ed esaurisce le sorprese nel giro di pochi minuti, finendo per diventare troppo prevedibile, seppur maledettamente divertente.

Ninja Gaiden Ragebound est une lettre d’amour à l’ancienne génération, à une époque où chaque coup reçu nous rappelait que l’erreur ne pardonne pas. Mais derrière sa brutalité assumée, il y a une science du rythme, une maîtrise de la précision, et surtout une direction artistique éblouissante qui en font bien plus qu’un simple retour nostalgique. Avec ses mécaniques nerveuses, son gameplay asymétrique ingénieux, ses animations au cordeau et une bande-son rock qui sent bon les années 80 retravaillées à la sauce contemporaine, Ragebound réussit le pari d’un équilibre entre hommage et proposition neuve. Certes, sa durée de vie peut sembler courte en ligne droite, mais elle cache une richesse de contenus, de secrets et de fins alternatives qui prolongent l’expérience pour celles et ceux qui oseront tout explorer. Plus qu’un jeu d’action rétro : un manifeste taillé au katana.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound brings the series back to its roots with incredible style. The core gameplay feels fantastic, with satisfying, fast-paced combat and platforming that'll put your skills to the test. With a wealth of challenges to meet and things to find, there's a real richness to each level that gives it plenty of replay value. The wonderful art style is the icing on the cake, and aside from one or two small nitpicks, fans should be very pleased with this throwback adventure.
