Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a game I’m going to be replaying for a long time. It looks and sounds incredible, and the fast but thoughtful combat is so damn satisfying that I had a hard time putting it down long enough to write this review. Juggling different types of attacks and powerful abilities as I break auras, time Hypercharges against intimidating foes, and bounce off of demons’ heads is a blast that is challenging and rewarding in equal measure. It just feels right. Ragebound may not star Ryu Hayabusa, but it’s definitely of the Dragon Lineage, and I know chasing level-specific challenges and high scores is going to be a part of my regular rotation. Ninja Gaiden fans, we were lost in the desert for a long time, but Ragebound is like running across an oasis; trust me when I tell you we’ve never been so back.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound es justo lo que te imaginas, es una reimaginación de un corre y corta clásico, muy arcade, muy bien hecho y muy pensado para que lo exprimas a tope mejorando tus marcas. No lo necesitaba, pero está bien escrito y sus jefes finales son geniales. Tiene secretos, retos alternativos y un pixel art muy chulo. El único problema que le puedo poner es que si no tienes interés en aprender para superar luego tus marcas, no te gustará tanto que repita muchas veces las mismas situaciones, o que el efecto sorpresa se le pase a las pocas horas justo por esto; pero vaya, que es muy divertido y un trabajo estupendo.

That Ragebound's story runs concurrently to the events of the first Ninja Gaiden is fitting, as Ragebound is the best the series has felt in 2D since that iconic 1989 classic, and it's more than deserving of being talked about in the same breath as one of the greatest action-platformers of all time.

Ninja Gaiden Ragebound è un'avventura bidimensionale vivace, variegata e capace di onorare la tradizione della trilogia originale senza diventare ripetitiva. Avremmo gradito qualche contenuto in più, ma la breve durata non deve spaventarvi, perché in essa c'è un videogioco dalla cura eccezionale, una danza da ninja che funziona così bene da rendere ogni istante un piacere puro. Se solletica anche solo un pizzico della vostra curiosità, non lasciatevelo sfuggire.

Se siete orfani di un videogioco che vi faccia diventare dei laboriosi soldatini pronti a perdersi in una routine senza ansie, dove l'unica preoccupazione è decidere se cucinare una torta di mele o uno sformato salato per il Vecchio Cotton, allora Tales of the Shire potrebbe riservare molte sorprese per voi. Il cuore c'è, si sente, e appartiene a persone che è una vita che lavorano per portare sullo schermo le suggestioni nate dalla penna di Tolkien. Eppure Tales of the Shire rimane un'occasione sprecata per tutti gli appassionati della Terra di Mezzo e della vita nella Contea. Tutto ciò che manca potrebbe arrivare con il tempo, ma quello che ci troviamo adesso tra le mani, al contrario di quanto potrebbe aspirare a essere, è solo un altro lavoro parzialmente forzato all'interno di un mondo di gioco che non si vive ma si sconta, almeno fino a che non ci si libera dal giogo di quell'entusiasmo iniziale che ci ha fatto sperare che questa volta, sì, avevamo finalmente trovato la via di casa.

Tales of the Shire: Un juego de El Señor de los Anillos es bastante simple como simulador social, merced a unas mecánicas básicas y a un bucle de juego monótono, pero consigue el objetivo de hacernos sentir como un hobbit, inclinándonos a la paz, la tranquilidad y el diligente cultivo de la tierra.

There is something magical in Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game, but it’s sometimes hard to find it… Still, I keep thinking that while a Hobbit hole means comfort, Tolkien’s favorite characters also deserve a bit more depth than just resting on genre fundamentals.
