Simply put, Ken's Rage 2 is an awful game. It's a title that not only bores the player but also probably does disservice to the source material. I have no idea of the quality of said material but it can't be bad enough to require a game this lazy to be based off of it, yes? Hopefully.

Prior to this being assigned to me, I had no idea what Anarchy Reigns was. After a bit of research, I discovered that it was a sequel to MadWorld where you hack-and-slash your way to victory. I remember MadWorld getting a lot of praise when it came out so was pretty eager to get my dirty little mits on this game, but after fifteen minutes of playing, I regretted that thought.

Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition is still, just over a year later, a fantastic game, with a gripping narrative and fantastic gameplay, and whilst Rocksteady’s Wii U port is technically brilliant, the integration of the latest console lacks clarity. Never once does the game suffer because of this but it’s just a shame that the developers didn’t do more to make Arkham City on the Wii U feel like it needs to exist.

It's always a little ominous when the lowest difficulty setting available in a game is 'Hard'! Don't be fooled; this isn't just a subtle tweaking of expectations by renaming a relatively easy mode - Dungeonland will make you suffer. But then Dungeonland wasn't designed to be easy; nor was it intended to be played alone.

There is a hell of a lot of game to DmC: Devil May Cry. It's a brutal and punishing beast of a game to master, with highly enjoyable combo-based combat, a well presented world and excellent cast of characters

ZombiU is a good game on paper but its execution leaves something to be desired. It's almost as if Ubisoft created a huge jigsaw with some great images on it but the pieces don't quite fit together.

Before we start, I'll come right out and say it: I have never played a Hitman game until now. It's not that the series doesn't appeal to me, I do own all the Hitman games (having picked them up in a sale recently), I just never got around to playing them before this assignment landed in my lap.

Of Orcs And Men turns our perceptions of the fantasy genre on it's head and puts the Orc in the limelight, as Bloodjaw warrior Arkail and his Goblin compatriot Styx set out to bring down the Empire of Men and end the slavery of the greenskin people.

The time has come for Formula 1 fans to get excited because it is time for the official game by Codemasters to be released. As with every F1 game we have had to wait for the back end of the season for the release due to licensing but I think that we would rather get a game late than not at all. With the previous versions being so good I have high hopes for F1 2012 so let's see how it did.

It's a lot of fun, an enjoyable romp through endless zombies, foreign countries and exciting story moments. It's these that make the game such a great one but not what it could have been. Because of this, the best way to enjoy Resident Evil 6 is to just play it for what it is, regardless of whether one agrees with the alterations or not.

ego Batman 2 is no Arkham City and it isn't really close, but what it is is very enjoyable and the best Lego game yet. Whilst its core DNA is the same, it has made enough changes to ensure that it isn't just like previous entries but has enough similar so it doesn't alienate fans. Fun, amusing and frankly brilliant; Lego Batman 2 is a game that players will put a lot of time into not because they have to but because they'll want to as it's absolutely brilliant and will fill the gap very nicely until The Dark Knight Rises hits cinemas this summer or Rocksteady release the third instalment in their Batman series.

Blacklight Retribution is an extremely competent multiplayer first person shooter. Set at some point in the future, two rival factions battle for control of resources, territory and inexplicably disused industrial complexes. Why? Who knows but it has stompy mechs so it's all good.

Prototype 2 is a peculiar game. It offers so much, yet produces so little. From the moment it begins, there is a constant sense that something is not quite right and for every great thing it gives the player to do, there is something holding it back. It is, by no means, a bad game but it lacks some of the appeal of its predecessor simply because it just isn’t as fun.
