So, it seems that Silent Hill has changed as a series in order to find its place in a new generation. If you are a die hard fan of the series this may be especially galling and I really do yearn for the complex horror of Silent Hill 2. Yet, for all I dislike about the new feel for the series, I completed it in only a handful of sittings. There is definitely something here that still appeals even if it has been diluted down. Horror fans sit back and enjoy the blood filled tale: Silent Hill fans approach with some caution.

Ultimately it's hard to recommend the game for fans of the city-building genre; players looking for a more in-depth and challenging economic experience should probably look towards something like the two year old Anno 1701 (assuming they haven't already mastered it). Newcomers to this RTS subset or gamers looking for an easily accessible interpretation could do a lot worse than picking up a copy of Grand Ages: Rome.

The Grandfather of fighting games has finally returned to our beloved homes. That's right; Street Fighter 4 has eventually hit the shelves after many, many months of teasing from Capcom, whetting our appetites for some hardcore Shinku Hadoken action.

On the whole, I think that this game is reasonably good, however bad it may sound. ‘We Cheer' is a pleasurable and addictive game. Nonetheless, it can drain the life out of you and can get rather frustrating when you do not clear the stage or get a certain move right. I would recommend this game to everyone above the age of ten with a good back. The only thing missing are pompoms to attach to the Wii controllers!

House of the Dead: I spent many hours in the arcades playing this title, numerous shiny coins entering the slot of enjoyment allowing me to plough bullets through the skulls of the zombie-like denizens which inhabit the game. So when the opportunity to review the latest incarnation of the franchise arose, I naturally jumped at the chance.

Nevertheless the problems I faced could, and hopefully will, be fixed in a patch which would earn itself a higher score, yet they don't really deter from the fact that F.E.A.R 2 is a highly respectable game. Game of the year 2009? In all honesty probably not, it will give the other contenders a good run for the money but I don't see it taking the title, but it is worthy of your hard earned pennies and will offer many hours of enjoyment.

Cuboid. A game that can potentially have you ripping your own hair out at the roots. Yet you'll keep coming back to it, for it's one of those games that can become extremely addictive, to the point where you want to keep playing till you've mastered it.
