Despite its flaws, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 takes the fantastic series we’ve come to love over the years and iterates on it with great success. The multiplayer is hands-down the best it has ever been, with more features, more modes and a ton of new levels and ways to interact via Call of Duty Elite. The singleplayer campaign and Spec Ops mode add value to the overall package, creating something that may not be perfect, but is too damn addicting to pass up.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact delivers a fun, action-filled romp. It captures the essence of the franchise and offers up a lengthy main quest with countless hours of level grinding and card collecting to enjoy afterwards. Even as a non-fan without any previous attachment to the characters, it was a good time -- poor AI and mission variety be damned. As a lover of action games, I found the combat to be enjoyable but entirely too easy and repetitive. Yet as a person who also appreciates good stories and memorable characters I think Ultimate Ninja Impact satisfies.

Daytona USA's charm fuels up on nostalgia. From the theme song to the timed checkpoints, each race is built on stealing quarters, virtual or not, and getting you to try again. But eighteen years later, it just doesn't hold the appeal it once did - though the first few laps are a pleasant return to a simpler time.

Passion alone isn't enough to make a game great. Stronghold 3 assumes too much of the user initially, and doesn't do enough to keep the village-building fresh and interesting. Bugs and instability plague the user and combat is still a bit of a mess. Deep down in Stronghold 3 is a solid, balanced economic simulator, but myriad frustrating other elements mean you seldom get to enjoy it. With continued support from Firefly Studios Stronghold 3 could be a sleeper hit, but right now that seems an eon away.

Yes, ultimately the content in the game is already on the disc and you have to pay money to unlock it, which sounds like BS. But even without the extras, Skylanders is a pretty substantial action game for kids (with a small cast). It's fun, it's challenging, the story is cute, and there is co-op. The potential to use these figures in future games, as well as the ability to trade them and use them cross platform makes this feel less like a gimmick and more like really cool tech.

As what’s essentially a marketing device, TRE could’ve ended up in the less-than-glorious ranks of games released to promo fast-food chains, but instead ended up being a really innovative take on an FPS conversion. Sure, it’s not very deep from an RPG-elements perspective, nor does it have the kind of story that’s going to make you go “Hm!”, but it will entertain you and help whet your appetite for the monster-stomping extravaganza that will be Serious Sam 3.

Captain America fans should only buy this game if they’re willing to put up with clunky gameplay and mediocre presentation. Marvel fanboys should approach with caution and everyone else should probably save their money for the sizeable list of quality games on the way to the handheld later this year. Aside from satisfactory brawling and shield-throwing, Captain America: Super Soldier on 3DS fails to deliver. It’s like Steve Rogers before the super serum - slow, average and totally uninteresting.

Addictive multiplayer will keep you coming back for more, especially with all the different ways to play. Single player has its moments, but some rough edges (invisible walls and less-than-stellar AI) make the whole package suffer. The new MI6 mode especially failed to capture my interest, though it might be worth toying around with. But considering multiplayer is inarguably the main course, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded won’t disappoint. While it lacks the charm of the original and the polish of other modern shooters, overall you’ll find a great experience that was just a few tweaks away from being amazing.

Creativity-infused cartoon combat blends perfectly with trick-or-treating nostalgia to give this humorous little download some tremendous pull. Costume Quest’s bold personality and utter charm mostly makes up for its more repetitive moments, and when you throw in the re-tooled save system and free DLC, the PC version is an alluring package. If your tastes lean more towards lighthearted fare instead of overt gore splatter, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better pick than this endearing Halloween-themed RPG.

Gameloft’s hot streak continues with Modern Combat 3. I’m looking forward to the day when the company takes its obvious talents and applies them to a truly original IP. But for the time being it’s hard to complain when the company’s clones keep turning out so damn good.

To the Moon is a challenging game to write about because the only real reason to play it is the story. I could go deeper into the plot, but spoiling it would be a great disservice to any potential players; suffice to say that the story is good enough to recommend this game despite its relatively weak gameplay. Playing through To the Moon was cathartic for me, not because I could identify with John’s specific lifetime experiences, but because the characters and their reactions – their emotional responses – all hit home with me. And I’d wager they’ll hit just about anyone, as To the Moon captures in six hours many of the difficulties and feelings of what it’s like to live with the memories of the great and terrible times in our own lives.

When you shut down Battlefield 3 and let the Frostbite 2-powered dust settle, it certainly has some problems. But DICE’s adoration of and expertise with the online experience permeates every aspect of its multiplayer. Regardless of the narrative missteps or the occasional glitches, Battlefield 3 offers an unforgettable, world-class multiplayer suite that's sure to excite shooter fans, whether they fired their first bullet in Battlefield 1942 or have just now heeded Battlefield's call of duty.

Throw this game into your system, put a Move controller into a friend's hand, and watch them jump around with a smile. That's the main draw with Everybody Dance, especially if you have a second Move controller to take advantage of the partner routines. But as a score-based video game, Everybody Dance misses a few steps. You don't get the full-body feedback you'd expect and the guide diagrams do a miserable job keeping you on track. If you want an all-around great dance game, look elsewhere.
