Me lo he pasado muy bien con Eden Genesis, y demuestra una vez más la ambición de Aeternum Game Studios… Para bien y para mal. Creo que el equipo ha intentado abarcar demasiado en el juego, y no todas las ideas han cuajado igual de bien. El juego es frenético y adictivo, pero su parte narrativa nos frena en seco para contar una historia olvidable. La parte visual es excelente, pero a veces eso perjudica a su jugabilidad. El combate es genial cuando se combina con el plataformeo, pero muy pobre cuando se convierte en el centro de atención. A veces, menos es más. Eso sí, todo lo bueno sigue superando a estas «pegas», y Eden Genesis tiene todas las papeletas para ser la próxima obsesión de los amantes del plataformeo y el speedrunning. Porque cuando el juego funciona, va a toda mecha, siendo imposible soltar el mando hasta conseguir la ansiada puntuación perfecta… ¡y convertirnos en los hackers más rápidos de la ciudad de Eden!

Creatures of Ava is what you get when you simply dump a bunch of ideas into a bucket. The mechanics feel disconnected, the story is rote and uninteresting, and the world, while very pretty, looks generic for sci-fi. It’s all been done before and better elsewhere, and sadly the game doesn’t take the chance to connect anything together or really explore anything in depth.

Creatures of Ava is a wonderful adventure that wraps together an interesting story about humankind's view of nature, exploration of a beautiful alien world, and interesting creature taming mechanics. While I'd wish to continue exploring this game a major detriment is how you get locked out of half the game as you play through it. (Review Policy)

Ron Carmel e Kyle Gabler inviano una propria lettera d'amore alla loro creatura e ai videogiocatori con questa scritta, leggibile su un cartello posto nel secondo livello di World of Goo 2. Che arriva a sedici anni di distanza dal primo, in un contesto videoludico radicalmente diverso: Carmel e Gabler lo sanno, e si divertono a giocare il giusto con la nostalgia dei giocatori del World of Goo originale, riuscendo contemporaneamente a squadernare una formula ludica che sbarella in direzioni surreali verso il finale dell'avventura. Ed è proprio questo felice sbarellare a rendere World of Goo 2 grande e significativo, un vero e proprio manuale per chi vuole rievocare grandi glorie dal passato. Nelle sue strutture mobili e caotiche e nella fisica dei suoi fluidi imprevedibili, il mondo virtuale delle Palle Goo è una certezza per gli appassionati di puzzle e, più in generale, di videogiochi creati con cura, coraggio e consapevolezza.

Nobody Wants to Die es uno de esos juegos que te dan lo que te esperan, y un poco más. Podemos suponer con un tráiler y con unas pocas imágenes que esto será una aventura narrativa con un apartado gráfico potente... Y es verdad. Pero también es una historia que toca temas de ciencia ficción muy interesantes, así como mantiene la tensión hasta la recta final.

Tomba! Special Edition è una grande operazione di preservazione firmata Limited Run Games che riporta con successo sotto i riflettori il grande assolo di Tokuro Fujiwara, infiocchettando il pacchetto con una serie di piccoli extra per solleticare ulteriormente le corde della nostalgia. L'opera ha mantenuto intatto tutto il suo fascino magnetico, si presenta ancora come un grande unicum e, nell'essenza, resta un videogioco imperdibile per i veterani quanto per i nuovi arrivati: nonostante l'età, è un immenso piacere potersi muovere ancora una volta per i paesaggi in 2.5D. Al tempo stesso, la riedizione presenta qualche spigolo di troppo per l'anno che corre, a partire da una mole di caricamenti indigeribile, passando per qualche problemino nell'audio, per arrivare infine alla carenza di miglioramenti anche basilari alla qualità della vita. Insomma, è sempre il solito Tombi!, e questo è al contempo il più grande pregio e il più grande difetto dell'operazione.

Taking up the torch of hope against the forces of evil was never going to be an easy task, and Darkest Dungeon II makes sure you feel it. While the roster of heroes creates plenty of opportunities for build crafting, actually interacting with all of the systems in the game can feel like a slog at times. Even so, there’s enjoyment to be found in this roguelite spin on the brutally difficult combat and festering world that Darkest Dungeon is known for.

Valorant sur consoles est une réussite, point final. Les joueurs manettes ont enfin la chance de toucher un jeu très compétitif, précis et exigeant mine de rien, bien loin de ce que l’on a l’habitude de trouver sur ces plateformes. Avec sa recette à mi-chemin entre Counter-Strike et Overwatch 2, Valorant est un jeu atypique qui demande à être dompté mais qui nous le rend bien. Après quelques heures, le plaisir de jeu est assez incroyable. Les parties s’enchaînent, la tension est grisante. Le fait de pouvoir réellement ressentir l’impact de ses décisions et de ses actions rend le jeu addictif. On a vraiment envie d’aller plus loin, de se surpasser. Dommage que l’on ne puisse pas profiter de l’intégralité du roster de personnages plus rapidement. Il faudra pas mal d’heures de jeu avant de remplir sa collection, mais c’est bien là le seul reproche qu’on pourrait lui faire, d’autant que le jeu est totalement gratuit et ne propose que du cosmétique en boutique. Même si c’est parfois onéreux, c’est totalement optionnel.En somme, Valorant a totalement réussi son portage sur console et on espère bien que ce sera le début d’une belle histoire pour la scène compétitive. Allez Riot Games, faites-nous quelque chose de sympa !

World of Goo 2 picks up right where the original game left off, offering more levels and entertaining conundrums to construct your way out of. It's no longer the unique physics puzzler that it once was, but the mechanics have proven to be timeless.

World of Goo 2 macht jede Menge Spaß - eben deshalb, weil es "easy to learn and hard to master" ist. Mit jedem gelösten Rätsel und mit jeder stabilen Konstruktion lernt man etwas dazu - und entwickelt so nach und nach eine Problemlösungskompetenz, die im Spielverlauf äußerst hilfreich ist. Klar, hin und wieder gerät man an Engpässe, an denen es scheinbar nicht mehr weitergeht, doch auch hier hilft hartnäckiges Rumprobieren. Wer einmal wirklich feststeckt, kann das betreffende Level auch skippen - nur die finalen Level jedes Spielabschnitts müssen auf jeden Fall gelöst werden. Diverse Flüssigkeiten, neue Bällchentypen und mehrstufige Rätsel machen World of Goo 2 zu einem Must-play für Rätsel-Fans.
