Dark Souls: Remastered doesn’t add a lot to the Dark Souls formula, but then again it doesn’t need to. Its graphical updates are subtle, and sometimes dubious, and the tweaks it makes to the game will only be noticeable to the already converted. But a refreshed pool of players means more opportunities for jolly cooperation, and the Switch makes it more convenient than ever to play the sometimes unapproachable classic. For better or worse, Dark Souls: Remastered is essentially the Dark Souls you already know on a new platform.

Abbiamo l’impressione che con Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, CD Projekt si sia lasciata prender un po’ troppo la mano. Che sia stato piacevole viver le avventure di Meve alla difesa del suo onore e di quello dei Regni Settentrionali non lo mettiamo affatto in dubbio, ma se solo un gioco così ricco e traboccante di contenuti avesse privilegiato il ritmo e la qualità della narrazione, il risultato avrebbe potuto essere ancora migliore. D’altronde in questo modo i numerosi tempi morti e le divagazioni superflue non avrebbero probabilmente intaccato quel clima di atroce realismo e grigiore morale. Thronebreaker è poi un titolo abbastanza problematico nel suo aspetto da card game: l’intelligenza artificiale non si dimostra un avversario stimolante e, dopo un po’, le battaglie vengono a noia per colpa di una varietà non troppo pronunciata. Anche considerate tutte le sue criticità, comunque, il gioco di CD Projekt cattura con il suo racconto e sorprende per qualche simpatica trovata ludica. E dire che sarebbe bastato un pizzico di zelo in meno per enfatizzare le peculiarità di un così intrigante connubio.

Dark Souls Remastered is a technically better version of an already-exceptional game. While the Switch version may lack some of the higher-end features available on other platforms, it still presents a more pristine version of the original, and importantly adds the exciting and absorbing dimension to explore Lordran on a portable device.

The Room offers up a unique take on puzzle solving, with its intricate, ornate boxes and intriguing mystery. The touch controls and the game's beautiful, tiny details make the experience enjoyable on the Nintendo Switch, even if it's not too different from its mobile version.

Très généreux en contenu, WWE 2K19 l’est et devient naturellement la nouvelle référence en matière de jeu de catch. Malheureusement, il faut vraiment s’accrocher pour profiter pleinement du titre de Yuke’s. Entre un gameplay vraiment vieillissant et une réalisation accusant vraiment son âge, on espère de véritables futures améliorations l’année prochaine.
