The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories è un titolo particolarissimo, come il suo autore ci ha ormai da sempre abituati. La volontà di scavare nell'animo umano e nella forza dei rapporti, in grado di superare anche il dolore fisico, è un elemento talmente riuscito da generare a volte qualche brivido e capace di far chiudere un occhio su una produzione dai limiti tecnici indubbi. Se siete appassionati del lavoro di Swery, difficilmente vi troverete insoddisfatti alla fine dell'avventura, nonostante un prezzo non certamente onesto, soprattutto in rapporto alla durata e alle possibilità quasi nulle di rigiocabilità. Per tutti gli altri resterà un discreto puzzle game, meno riuscito di altri, ma comunque interessante nella sua meccanica chiave, originale e ben amalgamata al gameplay.

Luigi's Mansion ha sobrevivido al paso del tiempo con algunos problemas, pero sigue siendo un título divertido, entrañable y con un argumento sorprendentemente intenso para la temática general de que suelen hacer gala los juegos del universo de Nintendo. Técnicamente no es de lo mejor de la máquina y donde realmente cojea es en el control, que no resulta nada intuitivo a la hora de algunos movimientos. Por lo demás, el modo cooperativo, los desafíos y la mecánica se las valen para resultar un juego lo suficientemente duradero y entretenido como para echarle unas horas y para que, especialmente, los fans del segundo título que no jugaron al original puedan darse el placer de vivir la primera búsqueda de Mario en la mansion encantada. Por cierto, ¡es compatible con los amiibo!

Despite some minor issues, the soul of Soulcalibur 6 is so strong that they don’t do much to bring down what is one of the best entries in the series. The new Reversal Edge and Soul Charge mechanics add new layers of strategy and mind games while the one-two punch of Libra of Soul and Soul Chronicle will provide hours upon hours of fantastic single-player content. Beyond that, Soulcalibur 6 is just straight up fun for players of any skill level.

Soul Calibur 6 segna il ritorno in grande stile del picchiaduro all'arma bianca targato Bandai-Namco. Nonostante il mercato dei beat'em up si sia fatto piuttosto affollato, il nuovo episodio di questa storica serie riesce a trovare un suo spazio e ribadire la sua forte identità: lo fa non solo grazie al combat system, ma anche per merito di un'offerta convintamente orientata anche al single player. Nonostante il pacchetto confezionato dal team di sviluppo sia un po' spartano nella presentazione, l'intreccio delle due modalità narrative (Cronaca dell'Anima e Bilancia dell'Anima) svolge egregiamente il suo lavoro, distinguendosi per una buona longevità e una struttura intrigante. Il tutto funziona perché a monte c'è un gameplay fluido, seducente, con un ritmo finalmente più vicino a quello dei capitoli migliori. L'operazione di rilancio del brand ha portato con sé anche qualche soluzione pensata per rendere il gioco a tratti più accessibile, ma questo non ha intaccato la profondità generale del combat system e non ha ridotto la presenza di tecniche e strategie complesse. Di tanto in tanto si presenta qualche problema di leggibilità dell'azione, e i personaggi più esuberanti hanno dei moveset che mettono alla prova il bilanciamento generale: due piccole storture che non adombrano l'offerta globale, composta da un buon numero di lottatori, approcci, moveset. Dispiace per la politica dei DLC non proprio virtuosa, e per l'assenza di opzioni che sono indispensabili per lo sviluppo della scena competitiva (da questo punto di vista la struttura dell'online si limita a fare il minimo sindacale). Speriamo che almeno l'ultima problematica venga risolta con prontezza. Per il resto, Soul Calibur 6 resta un picchiaduro spettacolare, intenso, tecnico, adatto anche a chi non vuole gettarsi nella mischia degli incontri online. Non poteva esserci rilancio migliore per la serie, che torna finalmente ai fasti delle origini.

El estudio Omega Force vuelve a proporcionarnos una de sus tradicionales producciones hack´n slash, la cual se convierte en una de las más llamativas de cuantas podemos encontrar hoy por hoy. La increíble cantidad de personajes controlables que ofrece Warriors Orochi 4, el modo cooperativo local para dos jugadores y la posibilidad de poder alternar el control de tres personajes distintos son sus mejores bazas, si bien el sistema de juego apenas introduce innovaciones de peso (aunque el uso de la magia resulta interesante) y técnicamente no es nada del otro mundo.

If you enjoy DC heroes and villains as characters and don’t mind the simplistic gameplay and kid-friendly tone, then you'll like LEGO DC Super-Villains's super-powered romp through Gotham and Metropolis. Other than the shift in focus to villains (greater and lesser), this doesn’t reinvent the LEGO wheel. The massive list of playable characters doing LEGO things in big cities is a familiar formula, but the all-star voice cast helps elevate the story and action to make this a bit more than just kid-pandering fan service.

Black Ops 4 pulls together three distinct parts to create an incredible and dense whole. The action is tight, the changes are smart and well-executed, and Blackout may be the most exciting thing out this year. This is the best Call of Duty has been in years.
