Fat Princess was subversive, politically incorrect and unexpectedly complex in its strategy and depth. Fat Princess Adventures trades a little of that depth for a more straightforward, action RPG-focused design. The top-notch voice cast and obviously talented writers are underutilized by the trite main story, but moment-to-moment deliver wit and charm in their performances. The art direction and visuals are kind of wonderful, and the action and gameplay -- especially in co-op -- is simple but fun and rewarding, at least in the short term.

Grata sorpresa este cambio de rumbo a nivel jugable de Fat Princess Adventures. Aunque se trate de un machaca botones y de matar a diestro y siniestro todo lo que aparece en pantalla siempre es gratificante trabajar en equipo y sobretodo cuando no penaliza en absoluto que puedas morir todas las veces que haga falta. ¿A quién amarga un dulce? Está claro que a las princesas no y a un servidor tampoco, y menos cuando está tan bueno

Una secuela que se parece muy poco a los juegos primigéneos de la serie Fat Princess. En lugar de encontrarnos un juego competitivo, Fun Bits nos ofrece una aventura de acción cooperativa con toques de rol. Aún a pesar de su factura un tanto modesta y de su evidente simplismo jugable, consigue entretener durante horas, funcionando mejor con amigos que jugando solos o con desconocidos a través de PS Network. No innova, pero tampoco lo intenta. No maravilla, pero no es esa es su guerra. Fat Princess Adventures se limita a ofrecer diversión pura y dura, consiguiendo que esbocemos una sonrisa por el camino.

Abbandonata l'interessante formula originale, Fat Princess Adventure si presenta come un action RPG tradizionale, caratterizzato da una struttura molto semplice e da un sistema di combattimento discretamente vario ma inconsistente. Giocare l'avventura in cooperativa è un must per renderla più interessante, e il sistema jump-in/jump-out consente di farlo in maniera molto immediata. Tecnicamente il lavoro svolto da Fun Bits è apprezzabile, seppure viziato da alcune scelte discutibili, e alla fine dei conti l'esperienza risulta gradevole anche se ben poco incisiva.

Sony recrea una nueva entrega de la serie Fat Princess para PS4 modificando gran parte de su mecánica de juego. En esta ocasión la acción se impone a otros factores y, además, se ha integrado un fondo RPG que le sienta fenomenal al conjunto. El modo cooperativo es su gran gancho y, sin disfrutar de él, la aventura pierde bastante encanto. ¡Tened esto bien presente!

Fat Princess Adventures is a sequel/spinoff that takes one step forward and two steps back. Moving to the PS4 brought all the usual enhancements to visuals, but the core gameplay was pulled back a bit, making for a more repetitive affair. The transition from PvP multiplayer to a more adventure style game has removed a lot of what made the original so much fun in the first place, and set players up for a game that is moderately enjoyable, but overall pretty lackluster.

Lo stile irriverente di Fat Princess non basta a salvare Adventures dai suoi problemi e il cambio di struttura, da multiplayer a squadre in piccole arene ad hack and slash a più giocatori, concorre nel complicare il tentativo di svettare rispetto a titoli concorrenti. Il sistema di combattimento è fin troppo classico e la storia non aggiunge nulla al coinvolgimento, se non missioni collaterali di scarsissima interesse. In quattro, meglio se in locale, il divertimento comunque non manca, ma difficilmente Adventures entrerà negli annali del genere, soprattutto ora che su Playstation 4 cono disponibili tantissimi titoli di qualità ben più alta.

Fat Princess Adventures è un gioco semplice eppure curato, almeno all’apparenza. Se tecnicamente il gioco di FunBits ha il suo perché, nonostante uno stile grafico piuttosto blando, è altrettanto vero che il sistema di combattimento e la (mancanza di) profondità data dal comportamento dei nemici rischia seriamente di annullare ogni divertimento. Già dopo la prima ora di gioco. Se cercate qualcosa di piuttosto elementare, magari da giocare con qualche piccolo avventuriero e selezionando il livello di difficoltà più basso, allora potreste aver trovato il gioco che fa per voi, altrimenti...
