Si vous avez déjà bouclé les épisodes originaux, on ne peut que vous conseiller de passer votre chemin ou d'attendre une baisse de prix du soft si vous souhaitez vraiment les refaire, Ezio Collection n'ayant rien de plus à vous apporter qu'un simple retour sur trois épisodes centraux de la saga. Mais si vous n'avez jamais essayé la trilogie, alors l'achat peut largement se justifier, surtout au regard des qualités des épisodes originaux et du contenu présent dans une galette contenant trois jeux vendus au prix d'un seul.

A estas alturas, cuesta encontrar algún motivo para relanzar los tres Assassin's Creed protagonizados por Ezio Auditore, pero si eres un extraño caso de aquellos jugadores que tantos años después aún no los ha jugado, esta puede ser tu ocasión. A pesar de saber que sobre todo AC2 y La Hermandad siguen siendo grandes juegos hoy en día, no encontramos en este pack muchos motivos para justificar una nueva compra para aquel que ya los jugara entonces.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection assembles the complete exploits of what many consider to be the best character in Assassin’s Creed franchise. The improvements to the visuals are minor, but the gameplay and story that earned these games such praise when they were first released are just as enjoyable today as they ever were. Ezio’s trilogy has been previously released, but the inclusion of the two short movies and all single player add-on content makes this the definitive collection, though the concession of losing all multiplayer aspects may disappoint some players. With so many Assassin’s Creed games being released, the franchise has lost some its luster in recent years, but this collection is a great way to remember how this series became as popular as it did in the first place. This is also highly recommended as a good starting point for people who have been interested in Assassin’s Creed but haven’t got around to actually playing any of the games, as well as anyone who wants to revisit Ezio’s saga.

La saga di Ezio rappresenta una pietra miliare della serie Assassin’s Creed che i fan devono per forza conoscere. Il valore dei tre giochi è indiscutibile, tuttavia il gameplay è invecchiato e questo, unito a una fase di rimasterizzazione abbastanza minimale, pesa sulla valutazione finale. Se non avete giocato a loro tempo i tre titoli inclusi nella raccolta, l’acquisto è consigliato visto che si tratta di un pacchetto capace di offrire anche cento ore di gioco se giocato a fondo. Se invece la storia di Ezio l’avete già vissuta a suo tempo, non vediamo motivi per ritornarci. Qualcuno potrebbe citare l’effetto nostalgia come scusa per giustificare l’esborso, tuttavia riteniamo che in questo caso sia più giusto conservare quei ricordi così come sono piuttosto che riviverli come Desmond Miles fa con i suoi antenati.

The Ezio Collection è una raccolta di tutto quello che riguarda Ezio Auditore da Firenze, indimenticabile protagonista di tre capitoli della saga fantapolitica di azione ed avventura sviluppata da Ubisoft e pubblicata dal lontano novembre 2007. Contiene al suo interno Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood e Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, più il cortometraggio in computer grafica chiamato Embers. Tecnicamente si tratta di un’onesta operazione di rimasterizzazione che porta la risoluzione dei titoli al Full HD (su Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3 era semplice HD) e la fluidità ancor più stabile. Nessun miglioramento sostanziale o miracoloso: si tratta degli stessi, identici, giochi già affrontati a loro tempo, stesse identiche animazioni e ambientazioni. Sembra quasi di giocare la versione Pc dei titoli con una piccola aggravante in più: hanno tolto la nebbia in lontananza (che mascherava i limiti di profondità di campo e restituiva più fascino ed atmosfera) facendo perdere un po’ di appeal ai fondali. La Ezio Collection può far felici coloro che hanno “abbandonato” Ezio quando hanno venduto la PlayStation 3 o la Xbox 360 per passare alla generazione corrente di console. Può far felici gli irriducibili estimatori di un personaggio che è un’icona, un simbolo e per tanti giovani un modello a cui ispirarsi, un eroe. Chi ha i titoli su Pc e un buon Pc con cui giocarci dovrebbe seriamente considerare la possibilità di lasciar perdere perché non troverebbe nulla di migliore.

Ezio’s trilogy helped build Assassin’s Creed into the giant franchise it is today thanks to its fantastic storytelling, amazing characters, and gorgeous world building. And while all of that is still here in The Ezio Collection, the lack of meaningful improvements and any sort of substantial bonus content make it a tough compilation to recommend.
