Let’s be real here. Sniper Elite: Resistance clearly doesn’t reinvent the series, as it simply expands on where Sniper Elite 5 left off. Those looking for a full fledged next-generation sequel will surely be disappointed, but those looking to play more Sniper Elite will rejoice at the small refinements introduced in this new package. Viva la Sniper Elite 5.5!

La fórmula shooter de la saga sigue rindiendo bien, pero es cierto que ya va necesitando un cambio de aires y mejoras en sus mecánicas. Juego recomendado para los nuevos/mayores fans de la saga, pero no para quien busque cambios.

Sniper Elite: Resistance Sniper Elite: Resistance, nonostante lo stampo familiare e un modello di gameplay che sotto svariati punti di vista sembra fin troppo derivativo dai predecessori, ha comunque un'anima unica che nasconde delle piccole sorprese e che sono ricercate da moltissimi giocatori amanti del genere: L'IA migliorata che stavolta può davvero impensierire il giocatore, obiettivi opzionali (veri obiettivi e non soltanto di contorno) percorsi alternativi che permettono di arrivare all'obiettivo segnato sulla mappa in maniera diversa, svariate armi da fuoco (personalizzabili e potenziabili). Aggiungeteci le tante modalità online, fra cui l'amatissima "Invasione dell'Asse" (che abbiamo trovato un po' sbilanciata) e la possibilità di giocatore in cooperativa - al netto di più di qualche passo falso in termini grafici (urge un cambio di rotta netto) - e avrete fra le mani un buon pacchetto che vi permetterà di vivere una nuova entusiasmante campagna da cecchino per la prima volta nei panni di Harry Hawker. There’s still plenty to be grateful for if you’re a returning Sniper Elite player. Many fan-favourite game modes return, including the abundance of multiplayer options and the Axis Invasion mode that allows you to infiltrate another player’s campaign to hunt them down. The only new mode introduced here is Propaganda Missions, where-by recovering hidden posters across the main campaign unlocks the same maps with time sensitive scenarios that reward faster results. It’s a nice diversion that adds a few extra hours of gameplay, but from the perspective of a new entry in the series, Sniper Elite: Resistance remains light on new ideas and still at full price despite recycling much of its smarter concepts.

Sniper Elite: Resistance non aggiunge o toglie nulla alla tipica formula della serie. Le kill cam spettacolari, varie e cruente, restano spettacolari e il level design di diversi livelli permette approcci differenti al completamento delle missioni. Al contempo la serie comincia a sentire il bisogno di una rinfrescata su più fronti, che speriamo possa arrivare assieme a una nuova iterazione numerata.

Sniper Elite: Resistance serves as more of a stopgap than a full-blown sequel to Sniper Elite 5, so much of that experience — including its highs and lows — carries over two and a half years later. Its sniping action truly is elite, but the gunplay surrounding it still needs work. Equally, the Invasion Mode is again a standout while enemy AI remains frustrating at times. It is more of the same. However, when that similarity is a fairly unique model in the first place, Sniper Elite: Resistance just about gets away with it.

Une fois de plus Rebellion remplit le contrat en nous proposant un jeu riche en contenu mais qui pourrait passer malgré tout pour un patch géant de l’opus précédent ! Peu d’ajouts sur le gameplay, mais l’effort pour proposer au joueur de nouvelles missions ainsi que de nouveaux environnements et armes est à saluer. La recette est éprouvée, et il n'est surement pas facile de tenter de la révolutionner. Ce n'est d'ailleurs pas forcément un but en soi. Pourtant aguerri des précédents opus, j’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à jouer à Sniper Elite: Resistance et j’ai hâte de pouvoir le recommencer avec un ami !

Se Sniper Elite Resistance fosse stato pubblicato come un contenuto scaricabile stand-alone alla metà del prezzo richiesto al lancio (o poco più), saremmo stati molto più inclini a soprassedere sul marcato riutilizzo dei menu, del sistema di crescita del personaggio, di parte delle mappe e delle situazioni ludiche di Sniper Elite 5, concentrandoci piuttosto su quanto c'è di buono nella produzione, come un padre che perdona al figlio qualche difetto ripetuto nel tempo. Ma siccome i ragazzi di Rebellion hanno dimostrato negli anni il loro talento (e non solo su questo franchise, aspettiamo fiduciosi AtomFall), non possiamo accettare che si siedano sugli allori dopo due capitoli piuttosto buoni della saga regolare, in particolare il quarto. Sniper Elite Resistance piacerà a quanti hanno amato le ultime avventure di Karl Fairburne e agli inossidabili della serie, ma deluderà quanti aspettano da qualche anno che la serie goda di una svecchiata in termini di gameplay e si liberi delle zavorre storiche del franchise, come le goffe sparatorie in terza persona e l'altalenante intelligenza artificiale nemica. Se doveste riuscire a mettere le mani sull'ultima fatica Rebellion a metà prezzo o se siete abbonati al Game Pass di Microsoft, il gioco varrebbe la candela nonostante tutto, ma allo stato attuale è difficile consigliarlo a chi dovrebbe pagarlo a prezzo pieno senza almeno un paio di asterischi.
