Si l’on résume : combats profonds, acrobaties impressionnantes, pièges et énigmes, boss complexe, personnages intéressants, pouvoirs temporels, présentation soignée et assumée. On dirait bien que Prince of Persia : The Lost Crown coche la plupart des cases. Sans oublier qu’il le fait en étant un Metroidvania très respectueux des codes du genre et innovant sur certains de ses points les plus rebutants. Bref, pari largement gagné pour Ubisoft Montpellier.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown couldn't have brought back the series after its more than a decade-long hiatus in a better way. With an engaging story, well-crafted Metroidvania mechanics, and a touch of character-action games features in its combat system, Sargon's adventure will be remembered by fans for a long time, even with its minor issues.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown es una de las sorpresas más agradables que he recibido en los últimos tiempos: un metroidvania inspirado, duradero, desafiante y, al mismo tiempo, con un montón de capas de accesibilidad para hacerlo apto a un alto número de usuarios. Mantiene totalmente la esencia de la saga y la revitaliza, modernizando una jugabilidad plataformera y combativa en que Ubisoft Montpellier demuestra contar con un gran talento y experiencia. Tal vez no es el PoP que mucha gente esperaba, pero sí uno que hace honor a la licencia y que merece la pena por cada una de las horas que le dedicas. Sorprendente.

Cos'è Prince of Persia? Dopo tutte le sue trasformazioni negli anni non è una risposta facile da dare, ed è dunque alquanto curioso che un metroidvania spiccatamente votato all'azione sia forse il titolo che è stato più di ogni altro capace di catturare l'anima della serie. Volete l'azione al cardio palma di Warrior Within? Qui la troverete nelle combinazioni acrobatiche e nelle spettacolari battaglie contro i boss. Volete il platforming brutale dell'opera originale e l'agilità delle incarnazioni tridimensionali più recenti? Non resterete a bocca asciutta, grazie a un level design di tutto rispetto e a un approccio tutt'altro che morbido alla difficoltà di certe fasi. Ubisoft Montpellier forse non avrà creato il gioco più originale in circolazione, vero, ma l'ultima creatura del team non si limita a copiare: The Lost Crown usa al meglio ciò che ha reso grandi alcuni dei migliori metroidvania del genere, e riesce a distinguersi dalla massa con la sua qualità. Un gran gioco, che qualunque amante dell'azione dovrebbe provare.

Sans jamais ciller ni renier son héritage, complètement maîtrisé, The Lost Crown vient s'asseoir auprès de Hollow Knight et des Ori, références actuelles du Metroidvania. Une vraie bonne baffe.

Fluide, rythmé comme il faut, maniable et disposant de multiples paramètres pour s’adapter à toutes les façons de jouer, Prince of Persia : The Lost Crown place la barre haut. S’appuyant sur les meilleures références du genre au risque de ne pas laisser virevolter sa touche personnelle, le soft coche toutes les cases du très bon action adventure platformer. Ubisoft signe un Metroidvania qui répond au cahier des charges, net, sans grosse bavure, mais également sans un petit quelque chose qui le rend aussi unique qu’un joyau légendaire. Si vous aimez le genre, foncez !

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown captures not only what made games such as The Sands of Time so good, but it irons out a lot of the little issues that plagued the 3D games in this series by opting for a 2D perspective – and owning it. It also works extremely well as a traditional Metroidvania, sticking with tried-and-true elements of the genre but executing on them with precision. The story can feel a bit jumbled at times, but it's the fast and fun combat system, the tight and satisfying controls, and the stylish look and feel that elevate Sargon’s journey and make The Lost Crown a worthy successor to the best of the Prince of Persia legacy.

Après des mois de galère, Ubisoft sort du sable vainqueur. Prince of Persia The Lost Crown réussit avec brio le retour de la franchise sur la scène vidéoludique. Tout n'est pas parfait mais le titre nous offre une expérience de jeu comme on les aime, avec un metroidvania abouti et même novateur, ce qui est assez rare pour le noter. On apprécie son ambiance orientale, ses décors et la complexité de ses environnements.
