Wii U recibe uno de los mejores juegos que nos ha dejado la presente generación de consolas y PC, conversión realizada por el estudio Straight Right, grupo que se ha especializado en este tipo de trabajos (se encargaron también de versionar Mass Effect 3 en Wii U). Como juego en sí sigue siendo extraordinariamente profundo, adictivo y bien estructurado, y nos depara muchas horas de juego en las que se combinan de manera ejemplar numerosos ingredientes como la acción, los combates, el sigilo, RPG, exploración, diálogos con decenas de personajes.... Sin duda Wii U es una máquina muy necesitada de lanzamientos como éste que nos trae Eidos y Square Enix.

Doté d'une histoire intelligente, d'une ambiance formidablement immersive et d'une liberté d'action gratifiante, Human Revolution s'impose comme le digne représentant d'un genre qui se fait trop rare. Ce troisième opus n'est certes pas dénué de défauts son IA tout juste moyenne et ses quelques concessions aux diktats des shooters actuels pourront au demeurant en agacer certains. Mais on finit par s'en accommoder tant le plaisir de jeu est immense. Adam Jensen a même suffisamment de classe pour faire avaler aux réfractaires les séquences à la 3ème personne. Une très bonne pioche pour la Wii U dont la ludothèque ne peut que s’enrichir d'une telle réédition.

Eile mit Weile: Eidos hat sich mit dieser Umsetzung viel Mühe gegeben und es hat sich gelohnt! Mir sind alleine die Audiokommentare ein weiteres Erleben wert. Die umfangreich erweiterten Bosskämpfe begradigen ärgerliche Fehler des Originals und die durchdachte Anpassung eines bestehenden Spiels an den Touchcontroller der Wii U gefällt mir besser als bei Batman: Arkham City. Eidos betreibt hier einen ähnlichen Aufwand mit einem bereits veröffentlichten Spiel wie CD Project mit der Witcher-Serie, zumal der Director’s Cut auch für PC, PS3 und Xbox 360 erscheint. Damit folgen sie den richtigen Vorbildern. Bestehende Fehler wie Schwächen im Gegnerverhalten oder die nicht zur Lippenbewegung passende deutsche Sprachausgabe sind zwar nach wie vor vorhanden und bei der Einbindung von Vita, Tablet oder Smartphone haben die Entwickler gründlich geschludert. So ist der Director’s Cut zwar auf allen Plattformen eine sehr gute Erweiterung, auf Wii U aber die sowohl inhaltlich als auch spielerisch stärkste Version des Spiels!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut may be overlooked by those who have already played it, but it is a robust experience worthy of a playthrough by its own right. The innovations offered via the Wii U pad enhance the game in ways that we all hoped the console would when we first heard about it, and it shows the potential of this under-rated platform. The improvements to the boss fights and inclusion of the DLC alone have made this game worth my while, and anyone who didn't play this game before now has the single best reason to do so.

Human Revolution resta, oggi come due anni fa, un gioco interessante, poliedrico, sfaccettato. Un titolo che ha provato a fare, con buon successo, qualcosa di diverso, allontanandosi anni luce della “monodimensionalità” che troppi prodotti, in questa generazione, hanno mostrato. É un peccato che la lucida visione di Eidos non abbia influenzato altri game designer, e speriamo che in futuro l'approccio libero e aperto di questo Deus Ex possa essere considerato con un punto di forza da tanti altri creativi. Questa Director's Cut arriva dimostrando un forte impegno produttivo: gli interventi correttivi sono molti, alcuni più riusciti di altri, e sicuramente tutti in linea con le richieste dei fan. Non diremmo che questi “innesti” variano in maniera sensibile la qualità complessiva dell'esperienza di gioco, e tuttavia riescono ad aggiornare il titolo in modo che si sentano un po' meno i due anni trascorsi dall'uscita originale. Su WiiU si gioca sicuramente meglio, grazie all'utilizzo dello schermo sul GamePad, che permette una navigazione facilitata dei menù (disponibile anche l'Off-TV play, con un'interfaccia più simile a quella classica). E' comunque un po' poco per giustificare la differenza di prezzo fra l'edizione Nintendo e quelle Ps3 e Xbox360. Nonostante la strategia di vendita non elegante, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut resta un titolo consigliatissimo a chi non ha mai giocato l'originale: si tratta sicuramente della versione migliore e più completa del titolo Eidos. E magari anche chi già conosce l'avvenutra di Jensen può provare a sperimentare nuove soluzioni.

Senza ombra di dubbio, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut rappresenta il modo migliore e più completo di affrontare l'avvincente epopea di Adam Jensen: una valutazione resa evidente dai contenuti aggiuntivi, dalle limature al gameplay e dalle funzionalità quasi sempre interessanti e ben studiate riservate al Gamepad. Come è noto, però, in ambito videoludico due anni sono un tempo davvero lungo, durante il quale il prodotto Eidos ha inevitabilmente perso un po' di quell'appeal che l'aveva elevato come uno dei migliori giochi del 2011. Si facciano dunque avanti ad occhi chiusi tutti coloro che se lo sono perso all'epoca, ma chi intendeva fare una rimpatriata con Jensen e compagni potrebbe rimanere leggermente deluso.

Deus Ex Human Revolution - Director’s Cut had an unenviable task: take one of 2011’s best games and make it even better, all while figuring out how to best utilize the oft-ignored GamePad. It succeeded on all fronts. The included DLC, the slick GamePad features, and the reworked boss fights make this the definitive version of Jensen’s story. Though, if you’ve already seen what the original game has to offer, there aren’t enough substantial differences to warrant a second purchase.

Overall, the updates and changes here are impressive, despite the fact that AI was not properly tweaked, nor facial animations substantially improved. I did, however, appreciate the overhauling of boss showdowns, the second screen offerings, and the overall “squeaky clean” feeling of a game freshly ported to a new console. It’s not perfect, but it’s as close as it’s going to get for this Deus Ex, and that’s impressive in its own way.

Faut-il acheter la version Director's Cut de Deus Ex : Human Revolution ? Si vous n'avez pas encore acheté le jeu, si vous n'avez pas encore acheté les DLC, si vous possédez une Wii U, alors oui l'achat s'avère indispensable. Toutefois, si vous avez déjà fini le jeu original plusieurs fois et que vous disposez de The Missing Link, les nouveautés sont bien trop minces pour justifier l'achat. La note correspond peu ou prou à la qualité intrinsèque du titre, auscultée dans le test original. Notons toutefois la belle action de Square Enix qui nous propose un nivellement du prix par le bas et un chouette commentaire audio.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Director’s Cut) sigue siendo un gran título con una experiencia de juego realmente cautivadora. Un título que bien podríamos catalogar de culto, con cierta profundidad y una encantadora mecánica (sigilo-rpg-acción) que acompañan a una historia digna de una novela de William Gibson. Esta revisión para Wii U viene con todo el contenido adicional y ligeras novedades que mejoran la experiencia original –amén de esa perfecta implementación de la pantalla táctil del Gamepad–. Una verdadera pena que llegue con un precio algo exagerado que puede echar para atrás a más de uno (no olvidemos que se trata de un juego que tiene dos años a sus espaldas y que técnicamente no está a la orden del día). Un movimiento peligroso que no beneficia ni a la consola ni a la desarrolladora.
