Blackbird se mueve fenomenal en un terreno complicado porque Minecraft Legends como RTS puro no habría atinado tanto. Aquí el juego es un mercenario del género. Se queda para sí mismo lo que funciona y los conceptos básicos, mientras desecha lo complejo y tedioso del género. Entiendo que puedas pensar que Minecraft Legends no es para ti si eres un usuario capaz de las mayores experiencias de estrategia del mercado reciente y pasado, pero dale una oportunidad. Aunque, quizá lo que más importa al final del día es que está en Game Pass, y no solo será la vía de entrada al juego, sino que el propio Legends es la vía de entrada al género.

Con Minecraft Legends, Mojang ha di nuovo fatto centro. Risulta riuscito il tentativo di stravolgere un genere solitamente complesso per renderlo perfettamente accessibile ai videogiocatori di tutte le età, senza però rinunciare a un gameplay stratificato, in grado di dare soddisfazioni anche a chi vuole investire del tempo nelle modalità online. Certo, avremmo gradito qualche contenuto in più al lancio e una maggior varietà per quanto concerne sia la componente single player che quella online, ma siamo fiduciosi sul supporto post-lancio, solitamente uno dei cavalli di battaglia dello studio.

Minecraft Legends suit la route tracée par Dungeons en adaptant l’univers cubique à un nouveau genre avec brio. Legends propose un RTS parfois classique mais diablement efficace. La base solide de son gameplay conjuguée à cette direction artistique sublimée par des effets exquis fait des étincelles. Le contenu, solo comme multi, est assez conséquent pour tenir les joueurs en haleine un petit moment et on enchaine sans vergogne les missions / parties. Ce qui décidera du succès sera essentiellement le suivi et les potentiels ajouts afin que la communauté adhère sur le long terme.

Minecraft Legends è un ambizioso esperimento che prova a fondere l'estetica e le meccaniche più amate del franchise con quelle tipiche di un gioco strategico in tempo reale: un'idea che, pur rivelandosi molto divertente in alcuni momenti, mostra molte lacune dal punto di vista della creatività e della libertà di approccio. Si tratta infatti di un titolo chiaramente studiato per le meccaniche competitive multiplayer, mostrando però non pochi limiti durante la campagna, soprattutto se affrontata in single player: la sensazione è che difficilmente riuscirà a conquistare fino alla fine chi si è affezionato al gioco di Mojang, ma la semplicità delle meccaniche potrebbe comunque riuscire a convincere molti fan a dare una possibilità a questo genere. E anche questa sarebbe una grande vittoria, magari in vista di futuri aggiornamenti o addirittura di futuri capitoli della serie.

Minecraft Legends is an engaging strategy game that does a great job streamlining a notoriously complex genre without sacrificing the ever-important element of choice and consequence. That said, some genre staples like assigning custom groups of units are casualties of this simplification, which is too bad because it does limit your strategic options a bit in the heat of battle. But Legends uses other recognizable elements like its worker unit Allays to great effect, and it nails the iconic Minecraft aesthetic with some of the best looking blocks around. The difficulty curve does have the potential to make the late game frustrating, but stellar cooperative and PVP play still make this RTS very worthwhile.
