It’s impossible to talk about everything that makes The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom so incredible, and making many of those discoveries yourselves is part of the magic. It’s also impossible to overstate just how much there is to do in Hyrule this time around. Much like its predecessor, this is your playground for the next however many years to come, with a little sprinkling of that older Zelda fairy dust mixed into Breath of the Wild’s formula. It’s a glorious, triumphant sequel to one of the best video games of all time; absolute unfiltered bliss to lose yourself in for hundreds of hours. We can’t wait to see what the world will do with the game.

Si dice che la perfezione non esista, ma The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom è la cosa che più si avvicina a questa definizione. Perché la storia dei videogiochi non ha mai visto un mondo con tre livelli di esplorazione da vivere con una fluidità sconcertante, da esplorare con un gameplay che offre una vera libertà totale senza opprimere il giocatore con il proverbiale imbarazzo della scelta ma, al contrario, supportando come mai prima d’ora ogni sua intenzione. Tears of the Kingdom risponde ad ogni trascurabile stortura del suo predecessore con una quantità soverchiante di idee, proposte ludiche e contesti narrativi, tutti elegantemente incastonati in un mosaico di meraviglia a tratti inimmaginabile. Un sequel semplicemente perfetto, che ravviva la brace della creatività accesa da Breath of the Wild per alimentare una luce che illuminerà svariate generazioni a venire.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom builds upon Breath of the Wild's robust systems to offer an experience that eclipses the original in practically every way. Not only that, but it works incredibly hard to restore some of the things lapsed players might've missed from the traditional Zelda experience, and it pays off in droves. While the novelty of its design will never be as impactful as Breath of the Wild's debut, Tears of the Kingdom is one of the best Zelda experiences you'll ever have.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom est bel et bien la masterclass que l’on attendait. Un jeu d'une générosité incroyable qui enterre, une fois encore, toute la concurrence. Souvent copiée, jamais égalée, la formule de Breath of the Wild est ici améliorée par des nouveautés qui offrent encore plus de liberté au joueur. Rare sont les jeux capables de stimuler et captiver autant et ce, des dizaines et des dizaines d'heures durant. Hyrule est superbe et recèle plus que jamais de très nombreux secrets que même les fans les plus hardcore se régaleront de découvrir. Souvent épique, constamment fascinant, Tears of the Kingdom risque toutefois de diviser sur quelques points. Les joueurs les plus intransigeants pourront notamment lui reprocher de ne pas assez en faire pour se démarquer du jeu précédent. Mais à quoi bon lorsque l'on a déjà atteint des sommets et que l’on vole littéralement au-dessus du monde ?

Tears of the Kingdom parte dalle fondamenta della saga di Zelda e punta dritto verso il cielo, incastrando tutte le tessere che hanno mosso l'anima della serie in un unico, grande mosaico. La tradizione del passato incontra una libertà aliena ai videogiochi contemporanei, mettendo sul piatto una quantità letteralmente infinita di possibilità per interagire con un regno vivo e traboccante di contenuti; in poche parole, è un'opera che risponde costantemente a ogni stimolo ricevuto dal giocatore e che al tempo stesso non smette mai di fornire nuovi stimoli. Il ritorno dei dungeon, il mondo nascosto sotto la superficie di Hyrule e gli arcipelaghi di isole fluttuanti sono piacevoli pennellate di novità, ma è l'esperienza di gioco - che impone un nuovo standard privo di comparativi - a segnare la vera rivoluzione. Alcuni critici usano affermare in tono sprezzante che quelli di Nintendo sono videogiochi destinati solo ai più giovani; la verità è che The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom è una produzione capace di far tornare bambini, ma soprattutto di risvegliare la voglia di giocare.

En suivant les traces de son prédécesseur, il n’est plus une “révolution” certes, mais il parfait l’expérience du joueur dans une dimension épique qui n’a pas de pareil. La sensation de liberté, l’impression de vivre sa propre aventure sans contrainte, ce sont les grandes forces d’un jeu à la durée de vie absolument exceptionnelle. Tears of the Kingdom se découvre au fil du temps, petit à petit, à tel point qu’il aura encore des choses à nous révéler pendant des années. C’est un bijou d’une pureté absolue et définitivement, l’aventure avec un grand A.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom non può avere l’impatto dirompente che ebbe Breath of the Wild perché cresce dalle sue radici, data la natura di sequel diretto. Dona però nuovi frutti. Possiede - ed è una grande conquista - il coraggio di mettere in atto un altro tipo di rivoluzione, ingrandendo, rifinendo e nobilitando ogni virtù del predecessore. Il retaggio della prima epopea di Link su Nintendo Switch si avverte comunque, sia nel bene che nel male. Con l’eredità di un passato glorioso, Tears of the Kingdom erige un presente magnifico, e spalanca gli orizzonti per il futuro della serie. Ha il potere infatti di rimanere collegato alla memoria. Come un ricordo. Oltre il tempo.

Ils l'ont fait ! Six ans après le coup de pied dans la fourmilière qu'était Breath of the Wild, Nintendo remet le couvert pour un second service qui va finir de creuser l'écart avec la concurrence en matière d'open-world. S'il reste de nombreuses voies d'amélioration et qu'il y a même quelques petites déceptions le long du chemin, nous sommes bel et bien en présence d'un titre exceptionnel, fort de qualités ludiques indéniables et d'une liberté d'exploration totale, encore beaucoup trop rare en 2023. Un chef-d’œuvre, tout simplement !

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sticks closely to the blueprint established by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it’s a richer, more rewarding game in most ways that count, offering a more intricate world, versatile suite of abilities, epic story, and satisfying dungeons. The familiarity of this Hyrule and a handful of frustrating sections keep Tears of the Kingdom from feeling quite as surprising and magical as its predecessor, but make no mistake, the wait has been worth it. While it probably behooves Nintendo to carve out an entirely new Legend next, Link’s latest should fill most fans’ heart meters nicely in the meantime.

On commence The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom la tête dans les nuages et, à vrai dire, on ne les quitte jamais vraiment, même quand on retrouve la terre ferme, même quand on éteint la console. Nintendo prenait un risque, en osant offrir une suite à un chef-d’œuvre ayant mis tout le monde d’accord. C’était sans compter le savoir-faire de l’entreprise, qui parvient à réinventer suffisamment sa réinvention. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom est un jeu vidéo caméléon articulé autour d’un gameplay profond (quoiqu’un peu complexe) et d’un contenu à la densité abyssale. Il est cette somme de tout ce qu’on a adoré dans The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, agrémenté d’évolutions qui s’intègrent avec un naturel déconcertant. Nintendo a encore tué le game, c’est aussi simple que ça.

En terminant, le meilleur résumé que je peux faire de mon expérience avec The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, c’est le suivant. On n’a pas l’effet de surprise de découvrir un tout nouveau Zelda révolutionnaire comme ce fût le cas avec Breath of the Wild. Le jeu était initialement planifié comme un DLC avant de prendre tellement d’ampleur jusqu’à devenir une suite et ça paraît. J’ai eu le même sentiment en comparant God of War (2018) avec sa suite parue l’an dernier. À mon avis, ce n’est pas du tout une mauvaise chose. C’est plus de ce qu’on a aimé du premier avec assez de nouveautés pour accrocher encore le joueur et une meilleure histoire. Bref, c’est assurément un titre que je recommande fortement pour ceux qui ont aimé le premier et c’est une autre grande aventure qui vaut le détour.
