Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a fantastic remake of one of our favourite Kirby adventures. With slick new visuals, some meaningful gameplay tweaks and two excellent new modes to dig into, this is a big, loud and colourful celebration of all things Kirby that should delight new and returning players alike. Magalor's Epilogue is a surprisingly chunky addition to the core action that gives the campaign a nice boost, whilst Merry Magoland ensures that you and your pals are kept busy with plenty of minigames, missions and online challenges to best once you're done with the main story mode. It's another win for everyone's favourite pink puffball.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe podría considerarse como un remaster del juego ya estrenado en Wii, pero con un trabajo detrás que no hay que obviar. Gráficamente la reforma es contundente, y en cuestión de contenidos se añaden nuevas habilidades, minijuegos… y sobre todo una historia adicional completamente inédita. Si lo jugaste originalmente, puede que tengas que sopesar rejugarlo, pero si llegas nuevo es una de las aventuras plataformeras 2D más encantadoras y divertidas que ha tenido Kirby en su historia.

Grazie a tanti contenuti inediti e una veste grafica modernizzata, questa riproposizione di Kirby's Return to Dream Land si guadagna di diritto la dicitura Deluxe: è infatti una riedizione confezionata con cura e rispetto del materiale originale. Chi ha imparato ad apprezzare il platforming di Kirby solo in tempi recenti amerà alla follia Return to Dream Land, che rimane uno dei capitoli più ispirati di tutta la serie. Chi invece ne conserva un ricordo speciale sin dai tempi della Wii apprezzerà la miriade di novità di questa edizione Deluxe. Il ritorno di Kirby è quindi un ottimo platform e un divertente party game; rimane solo un po' di delusione per l'assenza del multiplayer online soprattutto se consideriamo gli sforzi che sono stati fatti per ampliarne l'offerta multigiocatore. Nonostante questo, Kirby's Return to Dream Land segna l'ennesimo centro per una saga che ormai riveste un ruolo fondamentale nella line up di Nintendo Switch.

Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe è divertente, essenziale nelle dinamiche platform, ma non per questo semplicistico. Gli sviluppatori di Nintendo sanno bene che il loro morbido eroe colorato è stato declassato dai più a “platform per piccoli”, a causa di una gestione dei power up che nel corso degli anni si sono fatti sempre più scenografici, pirotecnici e di conseguenza letali. È pur vero che Kirby nacque per essere un’alternativa al più impegnativo Mario, ma gli ultimi anni lo avevano alleggerito davvero troppo. Con questa Deluxe, forse, Nintendo vuole lanciare un messaggio chiaro, attraverso la riedizione ad arte di un capitolo recente ma non troppo, challenging ma accessibile. Longevo se glielo si permette e tanto, tanto sgargiante. 2D solo nella struttura dei livelli, ma sfaccettatissimo nella sostanza. Kirby è tornato: abbracciatelo, temetelo, fate come volete, ma provatelo. Ne vale la pena!

Peu mis en avant par Nintendo, et aux allures de portage typique de fin de vie d'une console, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe ne partait pas pour nous laisser un souvenir impérissable. Pourtant, au-delà d'un très joli remaster HD qui le met graphiquement au niveau de Kirby Star Allies (qu'il surpasse en terme d'expérience de jeu), le titre de HAL Laboratory se distingue par la quantité conséquente de contenu inédit gonflant généreusement sa durée de vie. Que ce soit en solo ou en multi, ce nouveau volet de la franchise est plus gourmand qu'on aurait pu l'imaginer, vous donnera de quoi vous régaler de nombreuses heures durant, et mérite amplement son étiquette de version "Deluxe" !

Whether you've played the Wii version or not, this remaster offers enough content to keep both newcomers and veterans busy for a while. As a Kirby game it's fairly typical and doesn't do anything particularly revolutionary, but what it does offer is strong, entertaining platforming.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe es un remake que sabe nutrir su oferta de alicientes suficientes como para saber a nuevo. Un título que perfila, potencia y completa lo ofertado en 2011 convirtiendose, de esta forma, en una de las mejores entregas que ha protagonizado la bola rosa de Nintendo.

Retour aux sources pour la plus mignonne des mascottes de Nintendo. Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe nous ressert le même plat que sur Wii mais avec une nouvelle présentation, un accompagnement qui régale et un désert qui va rassasier les plus affamés. La recette est connue, les ingrédients aussi, mais c’est toujours aussi délicieux. Si les nouveautés se comptent sur les doigts de la main, l’épilogue de Magolor apporte assez de saveurs pour pimenter une expérience déjà cuisinée aux petits oignons. Sans innover, cette histoire annexe vient apporter un soupçon de challenge qui manquait au jeu original. Un titre terriblement charmant, toujours aussi agréable à parcourir et à regarder.

Un titolo ben più che piacevole le cui novità, però, non sono così elaborate da giustificare completamente il prezzo pieno a cui viene venduto. Come giudicare, quindi, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, oggi? Dipende anche e soprattutto da cosa c’è installato/che cartucce avete acquistato sulla vostra Nintendo Switch.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe takes a fun but straightforward Wii platformer, freshens it up visually, and adds a new mini adventure to pad out its otherwise relatively short campaign. Kirby’s journey across Planet Popstar starts as a slow, overly easy drudge. But once the difficulty picks up and the stages become more creative, this platformer shines through to its over-the-top conclusion – even if that conclusion comes far too soon. The Magolor Epilogue is also a welcome addition that stands on its own as another brief but worthwhile story. Return to Dream Land certainly isn’t Kirby’s best or most creative outing, but if you haven’t already played it on Wii, the Deluxe version is the ideal way to see what a traditional Kirby game is all about.

Kirby non aveva probabilmente bisogno di questo ennesimo ritorno a Dream Land, soprattutto dopo che su Switch si è già visto Star Allies. Il gioco comunque funziona, senza scossoni o sorprese, ma con una dose di tradizione che può comunque risultare gradita. Kirby rimane una serie pensata principalmente per i giocatori alle prime armi e in questo senso Return to Dream Land Deluxe si comporta bene. Per tutti gli altri: tornerà anche il momento del Kirby sperimentale (o qualcosa che gli si avvicina).
