Spezzerete il loop? Pochi giochi hanno la sicurezza e la spavalderia di Deathloop. Ricco di carisma e arguzia, è un titolo che può essere giocato in diversi modi. Non è un gioco stealth ma neanche un FPS, non c’è qualcosa di giusto o di sbagliato che il giocatore possa fare. Tutto sta nel come vi sentite di affrontare una determinata missione. Peccato che sia troppo lineare e piuttosto guidato, senza considerare che la scarsa intelligenza artificiale in alcuni momenti spezza letteralmente i momenti di gioco. Detto questo è un’esperienza da provare assolutamente. PRO - Il ciclo temporale è gestito molto bene- Colt e Julianna convincono- Storia travolgente- Arkane Studios sembra essere arrivata alla definitiva consacrazione CONTRO - Troppo lineare e guidato- IA scarsa- Qualche contenuto extra è fin troppo noioso

Deathloop è un progetto di dimensioni più ridotte rispetto a Dishonored, ma questo non significa che non sia in grado di accontentare tutti i fan delle opere Arkane. La grande libertà di interpretazione del giocatore, unita a un concept che funziona fino in fondo e a diverse chicche che gli estimatori del genere adoreranno, fanno del progetto diretto da Dinga Bakaba un intelligente esempio di come sfruttare la stessa base ma applicando un paio di idee nuove e ben implementate nel tessuto di gioco.

À l’aise dans l’exercice de style qu’impose la boucle temporelle, les artistes d’Arkane signent avec Deathloop un très bon FPS aussi intéressant que loufoque. Plus orienté action qu’un Dishonored, le titre de Bethesda atteint rapidement un niveau de profondeur mais aussi de complexité rare, même pour une œuvre d’Arkane. L’aspect répétitif forcément lié au thème du jeu est intelligemment amoindri par la variété des situations, le hasard des rencontres (avec Julianna) et la montée en puissance. Jouissant d’un concept de loop sans que le temps ne soit compté, Deathloop encourage les expérimentations de toutes sortes dans un univers qui tranche drastiquement avec ce que les lyonnais ont déjà produit. Et ça fait du bien de constater que le studio ne nous chante pas la même chanson... en boucle.

Deathloop is a great game, if kind of a mixed bag in ways. On one hand, the gameplay is some of the most refined Arkane has done, and they give you almost an “easy mode roguelite” to play, along with a little opposition via co-op to spice it up. On the other however, the story can stumble, and the grind can be a bit too monotonous. Deathloop walks a bit of a fine line, but overall has enough fun ideas to keep things mostly fresh and fun for Colt and Julianna players alike.

Deathloop tries its best to live up to the reverence of preceding games like Dishonored and Prey. Unfortunately for the residents of Blackreef island, it comes up a bit short in its execution of new ideas, resulting in some limitations and jarring qualities.
