A delightful journey behind the whiskers of a fuzzy feline friend, Stray is a wonderful game for both cat enthusiast and indie enjoyer alike. The story, while simple, is enchanting with each new discovery – with some that may just make you shed a tear. Stray è una piccola perla, un'avventura in grado di regalare sequenze davvero suggestive e una storia affascinante, finanche commovente in alcuni frangenti, che poggia sulle solide basi di una lore molto ben scritta. Certo, proprio come un gatto randagio al gioco capita d'impaurirsi per ogni piccolo sussulto, e così il team ha creato una bolla confortevole in cui muoversi senza temere alcuna insidia, con il risultato di evitare svarioni ma al contempo rinunciando a esprimere appieno un potenziale che appare limpido già nei primi minuti. A ogni modo avremo tempo per riflettere su ciò che Stray non riesce a essere: meglio concentrarsi su ciò che è, ovverosia il prossimo titolo che giocherete.

Despite one or two rough edges, Stray is a very enjoyable adventure. It's fairly straightforward, and gives you lots of opportunity to embody a cat, whether that's rubbing up against a robot's legs, clawing at furniture, or finding cosy places in which to snooze. The narrative doesn't quite reach the emotional hit it's looking for, but it slowly shows its hand throughout, with plenty of interesting details to learn. Pairing a common pet with moody sci-fi has worked well, resulting in a unique, engaging game with strengths that outshine its flaws.

Stray c'est un véritable coup de cœur qui ne finit pas de nous attendrir. Court mais intense, le jeu nous prend par les sentiments en nous faisant incarner un chaton aussi mignon que curieux, dans une ville désolée et malgré tout attachante. Visuellement, c'est un sacré coup de griffe en plein visage, et cela ne nous étonne pas vraiment de la part d'Annapurna. Chat-perlipopette que ce jeu est bon !

Les principales forces de Stray résident dans son adorable protagoniste et ses décors qui sont un bonheur à explorer. Ajoutons à cela un récit joliment mené et une ambiance mystique drapée de belles mélodies synthétisées. Reste les énigmes souvent trop sommaires et la frustration de ne pas pouvoir sauter où bon nous semble qui empêchent le jeu d'atteindre son plein potentiel. Stray n'en demeure pas moins une très jolie expérience, parfaite pour les plus jeunes et tout à fait attendrissante pour les grands.

La buona riuscita di Stray, pur con tutti i limiti legati a una produzione di piccole dimensioni, è dovuta sia all'ottima caratterizzazione di personaggi e mondo di gioco, sia alla sua capacità di mantenere l'avventura sempre gradevole e stimolante. La sensazione che si potesse fare molto di più col racconto e con le dimensioni del progetto c'è e rimane persistente dall'inizio alla fine, ma si tratta senza dubbio di un buon primo passo e in definitiva di un titolo particolare, accattivante e a cui vi consigliamo di dare una possibilità anche al di là della tenerezza suscitata da quel dolce scricciolo impertinente di protagonista.
