Princess Peach Showtime! ha saputo convincerci con poche riserve. Al netto delle incertezze di natura tecnica e di qualche ruolo da interpretare meno riuscito della media, il titolo di Nintendo e Good-Feel mette in mostra un impianto ludico accessibile, divertentissimo e piacevolmente variegato, arricchito da una direzione artistica sensazionale. Insomma, se amate questo genere di avventure, non dovreste mancare all’appuntamento con la principessa Peach.

Princess Peach Showtime! è un gioco curato nei minimi dettagli, elegante e divertente. Non è solo un mezzo per mettere in luce Peach, anche se questo è l’obiettivo principale, ma è un titolo che si impegna al massimo per intrattenere. Anche se pecca leggermente in termini di difficoltà e longevità, consiglio comunque il gioco a tutti i possessori di Nintendo Switch, per un’esperienza gratificante e di altissimo livello.

Seule exclusivité inédite de la Nintendo Switch en ce début d’année, Princess Peach : Showtime assume avec style et créativité la pression qui pèse sur ses épaules. La princesse du royaume Champignon multiplie les rôles en tout genre. Pâtissière, épéiste, patineuse mais aussi super-héroïne, elle sait tout faire et le fait avec brio malgré la diversité de ces activités. Le gameplay varié sert surtout une réalisation et une mise en scène créatives et ingénieuses de Good-Feel, les principales qualités du titre. Une aventure très accessible qui donne clairement envie de voir Peach plus souvent dans des premiers rôles, que ce soit sur Nintendo Switch ou non.

Princess Peach Showtime! es el típico caso de juego que no llama la atención, pero que si le das una oportunidad, tiene armas para conquistarte. Es un juego sencillo, para todos los públicos, que logra atrapar con un desarrollo variado y una desbordante simpatía. Juega en otra liga distinta a Super Mario Bros. Wonder, pero es divertido.

Princess Peach: Showtime! sees Nintendo finally give everyone's favourite imaginary princess the rollicking adventure she deserves. We had expected a rather throwaway offering here, a bunch of minigames and Mario-lite platforming maybe, but what we've got is one of the better kid-focused games on Switch. There's creativity, style, and fun to spare here, with levels packed full of secrets, cool outfits, and enough new mechanics to ensure nothing ever outstays its welcome. Come for the fashion, stay for the boss battles, slo-mo bullet dodges, and cardboard horse chases. Besides a few niggling performance issues, this is Nintendo on rather cracking form. Encore!

Ammetto di averci messo un po’ a inquadrare natura e potenziale target di Princess Peach: Showtime! In parte perché, come accennato nella recensione, d’istinto ho scelto di approcciare il gioco in stile Mario 3D (cosa che non è), in parte per il livello di sfida davvero dolce, pure al netto di un paio di "game over" brutti durante le prove a base di biscotti. Di contro, una volta abbracciata l’esperienza e, soprattutto, accettato di "stare al mio posto", ho sinceramente apprezzato la varietà e la freschezza di tante situazioni proposte, così come le chicche offerte da una direzione artistica evidentemente ispirata e capace di valorizzare il contesto teatrale: non vedo l’ora di rigiocarci assieme al mio nipotino.

Sans s’imposer comme un nouvel indispensable de la Switch, Princess Peach : Showtime est une excellente surprise, surtout en considérant la fin de vie de la console. Les jeux liés à l’univers de Mario ratent rarement leur cible et Nintendo enrichit une fois de plus sa collection de titres d’une belle proposition. Peach n’est pas seulement une icône du Royaume Champignon : c’est une véritable icône du jeu vidéo que l’on espère voir en tête d’affiche plus souvent.

Princess Peach: Showtime! is more closely aligned with Kirby and Yoshi’s simple, cheery romps rather than Mario’s polished platformers and Luigi’s haunted mansions. There’s fun to be found in the Sparkle Theater, as these delightfully simplified takes on some of gaming’s most popular genres are entertaining to blast through, and the whimsical stage play aesthetic gives Peach’s game an identity all its own. I’m also thrilled that Nintendo is finally giving Peach another crack at her own solo outing after nearly two decades, and I hope this is the start of an ongoing spinoff series within the wider Mario universe. Some noticeable performance issues and the frustrating lack of a chapter select means I won’t be returning for an encore, and I wish there were a few extra levels to lengthen the somewhat brief campaign, but Nintendo and Princess Peach at least know how to put on a good show.

Princess Peach: Showtime ! est à prendre comme il se présente, c’est à dire un jeu plutôt destiné aux plus jeunes d’entre nous, sans avoir vocation à voler la vedette à une aventure majeure de son comparse Mario, qui n’est cependant pas du tout présent ici pour ne pas mélanger les univers. Peach est ici attachante et agréable à manipuler, bien qu’elle manque de pep’s à notre goût, surtout après un Super Mario Bros. Le Film l’ayant montré assez badass. Nous avons toutefois noté des cinématiques assez inégales techniquement, trop d’animations répétées, une lecture parfois erratique de la profondeur à l’écran, ainsi que des écrans de chargement que l’on pourrait presque croire en 2 FPS, cassant indéniablement l’immersion. De petits désagréments certes, mais qui font tâche dans nos habitudes avec la firme de Kyoto, qui nous a habitués à un polissage presque parfait pour toutes ses sorties maison. En somme, un bon jeu d’aventure, qui n’hésite pas à emprunter à d’autres, et à s’adapter aux joueurs et joueuses les moins expérimentés, tout en proposant une relecture originale de l’art théâtral au sens large, sans toutefois provoquer de standing ovation.

Sin embargo, el juego no quiere hacer crecer estas ideas a lo largo del juego, con lo que al título le falta algo de chispa. Princess Peach: Showtime! è un insieme di antipasti, ognuno dei quali propone un genere diverso di videogioco (platform, avventura grafica, picchiaduro a scorrimento...), con la Principessa a fare da denominatore comune. I vari assaggi sono indubbiamente gustosi ma, anche accettando la scarsissima difficoltà, la seconda e la terza portata delle varie trasformazioni di Peach non ci hanno soddisfatto appieno. Ci aspettavamo degli accostamenti creativi dopo l'antipasto, delle variazioni sul tema o addirittura un primo che ne seguisse il gusto, e invece abbiamo avuto il bis dello stesso piatto. È un vero peccato, perché il gioco, nonostante il framerate incerto, è ben curato nella presentazione, sia visiva che sonora, ed è coraggioso nel voler proporre un contesto narrativo, come quello teatrale, completamente slegato dal Regno dei Funghi. Lo consigliamo soltanto al pubblico ideale a cui si riferisce, e cioè bambini e utenti esordienti.

Princess Peach: Showtime! rappelle un peu Luigi’s Mansion dans son essence. Et c’est un beau compliment. Pour offrir une vraie aventure à sa plus célèbre des princesses, Nintendo a imaginé un gameplay varié et accessible. Avec seulement deux boutons sollicités, Princess Peach: Showtime! parvient à accomplir beaucoup de choses. Il faut néanmoins garder en mémoire que Princess Peach: Showtime! est un jeu avant tout destiné aux plus jeunes. Ses ambitions sont assez limitées et l’absence de challenge, historiquement présent dans les jeux Mario, pourrait en freiner plus d’un. Voir Peach s’amuser dans son propre jeu reste quand même une excellente nouvelle pour les fans.
