È una vera fortuna che Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker sia stato tratto in salvo dalla silenziosa caduta nell'oblio a cui è andata incontro Wii U. Infatti, ora tutti quei prodi esploratori che non hanno osato avventurarsi sulle rischiose lande della precedente console Nintendo, ora potranno partire per l'ignoto su Switch e 3DS. Esteticamente deliziosa, originale nelle idee e raffinatissima nell’esecuzione, la prima grande avventura dell'impavido fungo rivendica con vigore l'unicità della filosofia Nintendo. La riedizione per Switch è pertanto l'occasione giusta se non lo avete ancora recuperato, specie se avete amato Super Mario Odyssey; invece, chi lo ha giocato su Wii U difficilmente troverà molti altri spunti per un secondo acquisto, oltre il poter fruire l’esperienza in via portatile. In ogni caso, sarebbe stato un vero peccato lasciare sepolto un tesoro così prezioso...

Colorido, bastante duradero y muy divertido. Así sigue siendo Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker en su versión para Nintendo Switch. Un juego que marca la diferencia con la versión portátil del mismo para 3DS y a la vez la demostración de que la híbrida es una auténtica "sobremesa para llevar". Escenarios con todo lujo de detalles, dificultad ascendente y añadidos que lo hacen aún más atractivo; sólo puede echársele en cara no ser un título totalmente nuevo o que la mecánica pueda llegar a resultar tediosa si no vamos con la mente abierta y venimos de los plataformas clásicos de la Gran N.

Un piccolo grande gioco da vivere un morso dopo l’altro, senza l’assillo di volerlo finire in tempi record, ma godendoselo placidamente. Qualche rallentamento imprevisto e una mancanza d’inventiva nel supporto al gioco online o multiplayer lo ridimensionano solo parzialmente

Treasure Tracker regresa con un desarrollo equilibrado entre el puzle y las plataformas, nuevos escenarios inspirados en Super Mario Odyssey y modo cooperativo my sencillo. Por lo demás, es el mismo -y excelente- Captain Toad que ya disfrutamos en Wii U hace 4 años, y una oportunidad perfecta para que lo disfruten quienes no tuvieron la consola.

Il porting su Nintendo Switch ha l’ovvio vantaggio di consentire di giocare con l’amico Toad dove preferiamo, e più che mai ci tengo a sottolineare quanto questa possibilità sia straordinaria. Captain Toad è un gioco da vacanza, è meraviglioso viaggiare con il nostro archeologo di fiducia, giocando in spiaggia o fra i monti mentre lui esplora le lussureggianti località. La breve durata di ogni livello rende il titolo più che perfetto per sessioni mordi e fuggi, e per di più la resa grafica sul tablet è semplicemente meravigliosa. Il gioco girava già adeguatamente su Nintendo Wii U, e grazie al cielo mantiene il valido frame rate anche su Switch, offrendo una meravigliosa esperienza dal giocatore. Aggiungiamo al cocktail delle musiche orecchiabili e piacevoli e la possibilità di ascoltare le adorabili vocette di Toad e Toadette, ed otteniamo un gioiellino. Il tasto dolente rimane la scarsità di nuovi contenuti: per quanto io sia una sostenitrice dei porting, soprattutto di titoli che tutti dovrebbero provare, ammetto a malincuore che ci sia poco di extra per chi ha già spolpato il titolo, escludendo pochi (bei) nuovi livelli e la possibilità (gradevolissima) di portare il Capitano con noi. Il prezzo budget a cui viene proposto il titolo mi pare un’ottima idea per venire incontro agli indecisi, che potrebbero dunque convincersi a passare l’estate (ri)giocando questa piccola gemma. E se ancora non lo avevate giocato: vi invidio sinceramente, perché avrete modo di divertirvi e di esplorare i livelli vedendoli per la prima volta.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker non sarà forse il puzzle game più originale o complesso sulla piazza ma è un esperimento ben riuscito capace di regalare diverse ore di divertimento, ad un prezzo tutto sommato contenuto. Questa versione per Switch è caldamente consigliata a tutti coloro che per un motivo o per l'altro si sono fatti scappare l'originale su Nintendo Wii U ma è un acquisto che andrebbe ponderato attentamente nel caso contrario. L'avventura di Toad e Toadette, infatti, non porta in dote grosse novità contenutistiche ad eccezione di quattro nuovi livelli ispirati a Super Mario Odyssey, che rimpiazzano comunque quelli dedicati a Super Mario 3D World, e la modalità cooperativa: un po' troppo poco forse per come siamo stati abituati da Nintendo.

Sadly, Wii U owners will find few reasons to pick up this edition of the game, but anyone who hasn't already played Captain Toad will find a puzzle game they'll finish and just want more of.

Captain Toad : Treasure Tracker n’est pas vraiment époustouflant, mais comblera une grande majorité de joueurs souhaitant tout simplement passer du bon temps devant un bon titre. Sa fraîcheur et son originalité, par son approche de la plateforme, lui donne un charme particulier sans oublier que Toad méritait vraiment son jeu à lui (on l’aime bien le petit gars). En revanche, si vous avez joué à l’opus Wii U, les versions Switch et 3DS ne vous donnent aucune raison de vous le procurer une seconde fois.

Aiming higher than the base game, this DLC stretches the Captain Toad mechanics and concepts in new ways, while also offering interesting new settings to explore. Conçu comme un complément à Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker n'affiche certes pas les mêmes ambitions mais n'en reste pas moins plaisant à découvrir. Sa durée de vie réduite et la relative simplicité de ses niveaux le destinent tout de même clairement aux enfants qui apprivoiseront de manière ludique le concept de perspective et de géométrie dans l'espace.
